Man Charged With Sexual Battery On Child
Three Women Charged In Robbery At Mall
   Owner Of Stolen
Truck And Flees
 A 34-year-old man was ar- rested and is facing several charges. He is accused of tak- ing a vehicle and carrying its owner on a wild ride.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, around 8:30 p.m., last Thurs- day, deputies responded to the Gibsonton Mobile Home Park in reference to a stolen pickup truck. The truck had been taken from the yard of the owner. An hour later, the vic- tim located his vehicle at the Gibtown Inn, 11545 U. S. Highway 41.
The victim and a friend at- tempted to block the truck in the parking lot and get the sus- pect out of it. However, as the suspect attempted to speed away, the victim and his friend jumped into the bed of the truck.
The suspect sped out of the parking lot traveling south on U. S. Highway 41. The suspect reportedly drove recklessly, accelerating and swerving the vehicle from side to side in an attempt to throw the men from its bed.
A deputy followed the truck for a short distance, but the driver eluded him. Shortly afterward, 9-1-1 dispatchers received a call of an accident with injuries at the intersec- tion of North Street and Ekker

The Pinellas County Sher- iff’s Office has arrested a 33- year-old man. He was charged with sexually battering a 9-year- old.
According to police, Don Lamont Thompson was taken into custody last Friday. The alleged incidents took place in February and March in an undisclosed location in Pinellas County.
He is accused of sexually battering the child and forcing her to watch a pornographic video, police said.
A relative reported the inci- dent to police last Thursday. Po- lice also found evidence to substantiate the accusation.

When deputies arrived,
they found the pickup truck in a ditch. The two victims with minimal injures and the sus- pect fled on foot.
The suspect, identified as Eniel Marzo-Alayo, entered a home in the 7600 block of Wood Violet Drive, police said. He climbed through an un- locked window in an attempt to hide.
He took a set of keys from the home in an attempt to take another vehicle, but realized the keys did not fit the vehicle.
He was later located walk- ing down Wood Violet Drive and taken into custody, police said. He is facing several felonies, including two counts of fleeing and eluding, and kidnapping.
Three women have been taken into custody in connec- tion with a robbery last month. The incident took place at the Ulta at Clearwater Mall.
According to the Clearwa- ter Police Department, all three were charged with rob- bery with a weapon.
Police said during the rob- bery last month, the three sus- pects fled the scene with thousands of dollars in per- fume from the store.
The suspects entered the
store and placed large amounts of merchandise into their shopping bags. When they were confronted by the manager, one of the suspects, identified as Tonae Craw- ford, threatened the manager with pepper spray. The other two suspects have been iden- tified as JaMaria Collins and Desstanae Duhart.
Both the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investi- gation, police said.

   One Pedestrian Killed, Another Injured In Accident With Truck
Two individuals died in a traffic accident last Tuesday. The accident took place at Bran- don Parkway and Town Center Blvd.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Michael Iacob, 26, of Tampa, was driv- ing a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado. Harold A. Climaco, 36, of Chelsea, MA, was driving a 2018 Nissan SUV. There was also an unidentified passenger in Climaco’s vehicle.
Both vehicles entered the in- tersection simultaneously and collided, causing Climaco’s vehicle to burst into flames. The unidentified passenger died at the scene. Climaco was trans- ported to a local hospital, where he died as a result of his in- juries. Iacob received minor injuries.
The investigation is contin- uing and police have not deter- mined which vehicle ran the red light which resulted in the acci- dent.
Police arrested a man last week after he reportedly left two children alone to visit a strip club. Kalvin Dwayne Guice, 38, of Seminole, is fac- ing child neglect charges.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Guice was supposed to be watching two children, one of which is an autistic boy. The children’s mother left them in his care while she attended a funeral out of town.
After the autistic child was discovered in a urine-soaked diaper, police were called. Guice is alleged to have told deputies he left the children alone for four hours and went
One man was killed and another injured after being struck by a tractor trailer. The accident took place Sunday on I-75 and State Road 618.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Alexa Marie Salvatore, 27, of Jacksonville, was driving a 2019 Dodge Ram. Daniel Schaffer, 21, of Bradenton, was standing near a tow truck on the side of the highway shortly after 2:30 a.m.
Schaffer was with Marc Smith, 29, of Dover, who was the tow truck driver. The tow
truck was loaded with a 2006 Jeep Liberty, police said.
As the two men stood on the side of the road, Ms. Sal- vatore drove northbound on the Interstate. She is alleged to have lost control of her ve- hicle as it neared the off ramp. Her truck crashed into Schaffer and the tow truck, which then caused the two trucks to hit Smith.
All three vehicles burst into flames, police said.
Schaffer died at the scene as a result of his in- juries.
