On Friday, February 23, Yolanda Dudley An- thony became the bride of Tampa native, Jeffrey Amos.
Introduced by a mutual friend, the couple, became instant soulmates, fell in love and decided to ‘jump the broom’.
Yolanda is a native of Tangerine, Florida, but has resided in Tampa for 30+ years, and is a mem- ber of numerous clubs. She is the Property Man- ager at Tampa Park Apart- ments, Inc. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science and Finance degrees from FAMU and MBA from Nova Southeastern Uni- versity.
Jeffrey, a widower, was raised in Tampa, at- tending a local elementary school, Young Junior High School and Hillsborough
High School, where he was a star basketball player. He joined the military soon after graduation and trav- elled extensively. He earned his Bachelor’s de- gree in Industrial Educa- tion and a Master’s degree in Public Administration, both from Valdosta State University.
He settled in Valdosta, Georgia, before returning to Tampa. He is now the Maintenance Coordinator at Tampa Park Apart- ments, Inc.
Yolanda, a longtime member of Living Faith Assembly Of God, and Jef- frey, who recently joined, sought counseling from the church pastor, Eu- gene Davis, and through their love of God and faith took the leap. Pastor Davis and his wife, Pas- tor Felicia coordinated
and performed the private church ceremony.
The ceremony was at- tended by Yolanda’s aunt, Mrs. Betty Gainey of Umatilla, FL, who gave her away; her first cousin, Valencia Jackson Billups, Willingboro, NJ, and her best friend, Kay Andrews, who were her maids of honor; and Jef- frey’s first cousin and best friend, Earnest McLeod of Decatur, GA, who was his best man. Earnest and his wife, Josephine, who also attended are both Tampa natives.
The couple treated its wedding party to lunch at Ocean Prime following the ceremony. The entire party travelled by limousine, courtesy of their neighbor and limo company owner, Eddie Palladini of VIP Valet Limo Service.
Yolanda’s hair was by Okeya Valentine, owner of Design Style and makeup by the pastors’ daughter, Genecia Davis.
