Snoop Dogg’s Venture Capital Fund Raises $45 Billion To Invest In Marijuana Businesses
Wale Surprises Fans With New EP
Wale just released a new, 4-track EP titled It’s Compli- cated.
The rapper, who recently left Atlantic Records for a ca- reer as an independent artist, said his latest release is "a story about a love life.
According to Wale, It's Complicated is for "anybody who heart is at odds with the mind.”
The project includes the tracks "It's Complicated," “Black Bonnie" featuring Cash Money Records' Jacquees, “Effortless” and “Let It Go.”

Snoop Dogg's venture firm recently closed its first round of funding.
The rap stars Casa Verde Capital has raised a total of $45 billion dollars to invest in early-stage startups focus on the emerging cannabis indus- try and others outside of the marijuana business. So far, Snoop’s company has made eight investments and he's looking to put no less than $1,000,000 into the compa- nies he takes an interest in.
Snoop tapped a business associate named Karan Wadhera - a former execu- tive from Goldman Sachs - to raise the money and oversee Casa Verde Capital's invest- ments.

profile in this space, so we see a fair amount of inbound," managing partner Karan Wadhera told TechCrunch.
"We also have a strong network among cultivators and retailers and brands in the industry, and we’re con- stantly leveraging them to find new opportunities.”
Those businesses hop- i n g to secure funding for Snoop who cultivate or own dispensaries will be disap- pointed.
"We’re only focused on the ancillary part of the cannabis industry, so we won’t invest in companies that touch the plants. No dispensaries or cultivators or manufacturers.
We’re investing in the picks and shovels," Karan Wadhera said.

First Official Whitney Houston Documentary Set For July Release

“Whitney,” the documentary about the life and career of Whitney Houston, will hit theaters in the U.S. on July 6.
The date comes after Mira- max back in June 2016 ac- quired rights to the film — the only one officially supported by the late singer’s estate — and partnered with Roadside Attractions to release it.
The docu, includes previ- ously unreleased recordings, never-before-seen home movie footage and live per- formances recorded by Houston at various stages her life, as well as original studio recordings, a capellas of some of her biggest hits.
