Jets Add Teddy Bridgewater To Mix
Teddy Bridgewater is now with the NY Jets.
The New York Jets ad- dressed their gaping hole at quarterback by adding two veterans to their roster on Tuesday -- former Vikings star quarterback Teddy Bridge- water and Josh McCown, league sources stated.
Bridgewater, formerly a starter, agreed to a one-year contract.
Hours earlier, the Jets re- signed McCown, their 2017 starter, to a one-year contract that will pay him $10 million, according to a source.
Bridgewater, 25, was considered a rising star in the NFL ahead of a gruesome dis- located knee injury sustained during a Vikings non-contact drill just before the 2016 sea- son.

The Tampa Bay Bucca- neers have re-signed Brent Grimes.
Grimes, 34, was set to become an unrestricted free agent on March 14. The two sides were able to get a deal done before then.
The four-time Pro Bowler’s contract is for 1- year and is $10 million, ac- cording to reports.

Oklahoma City Thunder star, Russell Westbrook recorded his 100th career triple-double, the fourth quarter Tuesday against the Altanta Hawks, joining an ex- clusive club that includes just three other members in NBA history.
Oscar Robertson (181), Magic Johnson (138) and Jason Kidd (107) are the only other players with triple- digit triple-doubles.

CB Sentenced To 1 Year
In Jail
Ex- Raiders
Tiger Woods is still the star of the professional golf world.
Sean Smith will spend 1- year in jail.
Prosecutors say Oakland Raiders cornerback Sean Smith has been sentenced to serve a year in jail after ad- mitting he beat up his sister's boyfriend when he intervened in an argument in July.
The Los Angeles County district attorney's office says Smith pleaded guilty Tues- day to a felony assault charge. He was also sentenced to five years of probation and was taken into custody after the court hearing.
The Raiders released Smith on Monday.
There is a faction of golf fans who claim that the PGA Tour was doing just fine with- out Tiger Woods.
However, nobody in the history of the sport draws the attention that Woods does.
Tracy West, the tourna- ment director for the Valspar Championship tournament released the attendance num- bers early this week and said approximately 40,000 more people were at the this year’s tourney than last year with 150,000 people attending.
The Valspar Champi- onship, was played at Innis- brook, a Salamander Golf & Spa Resort in Palm Harbor, owned by Dr. Sheila John- son.
Another clearly evident fact of Tiger’s star power was the television ratings from this past weekend's tourna- ment. Sunday’s final round
coverage of the tournament on NBC earned a 5.11 overnight rating, making it the highest-rated (non-major) U.S. PGA Tour broadcast in almost five years, the network said.
Tiger Woods Is The Favorite For First Time Since 2014
Woods, fresh off his tie for second place at the Valspar Championship, opened as the favorite to win this week's Arnold Palmer In- vitational in Orlando, Florida.
The Westgate SuperBook on Monday installed Woods as the 13-2 favorite to win at Bay Hill, where he has won eight times previously.
This is the first time Woods has been favored to win a PGA Tour event since the Honda Classic in 2014.
