Florida Prosecuters Seeking Death Penalty For Mass Shooter
Nikolas Cruz could be put to death by the state of Florida, if he's found guilty for the slay- ing of the 17 victims in Park- land.
Prosecutors announced Tuesday they will be seeking the death penalty in the case.
In new documents, they call the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School "especially heinous, atrocious or cruel" ... as well as "cold, calculated and premedi- tated."
Also in the documents pro- secutors say they want to pick the mental health expert to

No Surprise:
Republicans On Intel Committee Claim There Was ‘No Collusion’; President Is Cleared
Secretary Of State Rex Tillerson has been fired by Pres. Trump.
CIA Director Mike Pom- peo has been appointed to take the reins and Gina Haspel is to become the first woman Director of the CIA.

ing concern about his perform- ance as the country’s top diplo- mat.
This break-up has been long-in-the-works, however, with Trump and Tillerson not seeing eye-to-eye for some time and the latter reportedly considered resigning in July.
On Oct. 4, NBC News re- ported that Tillerson called Trump “a moron” during a meeting with top officials.
On Tuesday, a federal judge said that former Trump cam- paign manager Paul Man- afort could potentially spend the rest of his life in prison — plus another 305 years on top of that.
“Given the nature of the charges against the defendant and the apparent weight of the evidence against him, defen- dant faces the very real possi- bility of spending the rest of his life in prison,” federal judge T.S. Ellis, III of the U.S. Dis- trict Court for the Eastern Dis- trict of Virginia wrote Tuesday.
Manafort, 68, was placed under house arrest last week and has to wear a GPS monitor as he awaits two jury trials coming up this year.
According to CNN, if Man-
Paul Manafort has refused to plead guilty, and could possibly be sentenced to life in prison.
afort chooses to change his plea to guilty and avoid a trial, he could be forced by Special Counsel Robert Mueller to divulged his secrets about the Trump campaign’s alleged contacts with Russia.
Trump’s Longtime Personal Aide Fired Due To Financial Crimes
President Donald Trump's longtime personal aide John McEntee has been fired and is under inves- tigation by the Secret Service for serious financial crimes, according to two federal law enforcement officials.
McEntee's security clear- ance had been "in limbo for some time," one of the offi- cials added.
Sources close to McEntee,

a 27-year-old former football player for the University of Connecticut, said he struggled with a gambling addiction and they believe the investigation may be related.
One of those sources said McEntee's firing was abrupt and that he was asked to leave immediately on Monday after learning his security clearance had been revoked.
Democrats on the Intel Committee say the move by the Re- publican majority was premature.
Even as the special counsel Robert Mueller expands his inquiry and pursues criminal charges against at least four Trump associates, House In- telligence Committee Republi- cans said on Monday that their investigation had found no evi- dence of collusion between Donald J. Trump’s presiden- tial campaign and Russia to sway the 2016 election.
According to the majority Republicans on the committee, President Donald Trump is cleared.
However, Democrats from the committee said Tuesday it was "premature" for the major-
ity GOP members to conclude the probe, and that they would keep investigating.
Rep. Adam Schiff of Cali- fornia, the top Democrat on the committee, called the Republi- can decision to shut down the investigation a "terrible dis- service to the country and the American people," in announc- ing the release of a 21-page "sta- tus report" that laid out the Democrats' case to continue the probe.
The GOP members concluded that staffers of the Trump campaign who met with Rus- sians may have displayed bad judgment, but nothing worse.
