Abundant Life Enrichment Church Continues Its ‘#WeCare’ Campaign In East Tampa
Abundant Life Enrichment Church ("ALEC") has set out to 'renew lives through God's word' through various initia- tives. Two of their most recent initiatives involved a 'thirst for the soul giveaway' and street clean-up within the local East Tampa community. These ini- tiatives are just a few of the ac- tivities the church has decided to undertake during their #WeCare campaign.
"We must connect our community, our city, our state, our world to the source of eter- nal life. That source cares greatly for all people of this world and we've decided to echo that care in the commu- nity and beyond," states the church’s pastor, Randy Ran- dolph.
ALEC's #WeCare cam- paign was designed to illus- trate the compassion, commitment, and connection to the people of God. “We rep- resent God's heart and our pri- mary goal is to love as God loves us. This includes random acts of kindness such as com- munity clean-ups, exterior home makeovers, gas give- aways, etc. We strive to restore our community, win souls to Christ, demonstrate God's love, and promote righteous- ness.”
During ALEC's 'thirst for your soul giveaway', members of the congregation gathered on the corners of 40th Street and Hillsborough Avenue to give away cold bottles of water plus words of encouragement to those passing by on foot or wheels. Motorists honked their horns if they were unable to stop for a refreshing drink as they read the encouraging

On a past Saturday, ALEC's MVPs ("Men of Valor who Pray") gathered early Sat- urday morning in prayer and shortly afterwards embarked on a beautification mission
that is oftentimes overlooked. They walked the streets pick- ing up an astonishing amount of trash in their neon yellow #WeCare t-shirts. They of- fered smiles, words of encour- agement, prayers, and brotherly love to those they encountered along the way.
