MS. CAROLYN HILL
A Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Carolyn Hill of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017, will be held on Friday, September 1st. There will be a private family viewing and the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority rit- uals will begin at 1 p. m. at Aikens Funeral Home.
The public graveside serv- icewillbeginat2p.m.at Sunset Memory Gardens in Thonotosassa, Florida. Rev. Larry Mouton, Jr., pastor of New Hope M. B. Church, offi- ciating. The entombment will follow.
Carolyn was born in Tampa, to the late James Hill and Susie Young.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories with: two sisters, Helen Ann Brown (Willie) and Claudett R. Akins (Arthur); and a host of nieces, nephews, other rela- tives, students and many friends who will dearly miss her. There will be no public viewing.
The flowers will be re- ceived at Aikens Funeral Home.

MR. THOMAS LEE DECOSTA, JR.
Mr. Thomas Lee DeCosta, Jr. was born September 9, 1957 in Brooklyn, NY to the parents, Thomas L. DeCosta and Theresa DeCosta. He was raised in Brooklyn, NY and attended the public schools of New York City. Thomas graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School of Brooklyn, NY.
He was a dedicated Jeho- vah’s Witness for 30 years. Thomas worked at different jobs in New York and later moved to Tampa, FL, where he worked for Jim Walters
Co.Thomas leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Theresa Powell; brothers, Darren DeCosta (Wanda), Tracey DeCosta; and one sister, Chariesse De- Costa; step-brothers, Don- nie, Robin, Anthony Roundtree and Marcus De- Costa; and stepsisters, Tracy Mickens (Michael), and Tomara DeCosta; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; aunts, Sandra Rose and Deborah Isaacs; a host of relatives in Florida, North and South Carolina, Georgia and New York.
The Memorial Service will be held on August 28, 2017 at 7 p. m. at the Jeho- vah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall located at 11730 N. Ola Ave., Tampa, FL 33612.

Popular St. Petersburg Dentist Laid To Rest
More than 1,000 people attended the Memorial Serv- ice held on Saturday, August 26, for a popular St. Peters- burg dentist.
Dr. Reginald “Reggie” Ligon passed away on Sun- day, August 20, 2017. He was 66 years old.
Dr. Ligon operated Ligon & Ligon Dental Group with his wife, Mendee and son, Reginald Brian. The couple also has 2 other chil- dren, Atty. Shannon Alexis, and Evan Deanza Camille. His sister is Atty. L. Michelle Ligon.
When he came to Florida, Dr. Ligon united in busi- ness with his brother, Dr. Julius Ligon, who passed away in 1978.

DR. REGINALD ‘REGGIE’ LIGON
A native of Terre Haute, Indiana, Dr. Ligon received his dental training at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry, receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1975.
Bicyclist Struck By Car Dies From Injuries
A 65-year-old bicyclist died after being struck by a car Thursday night. The acci- dent took place at the inter- section of LaSalle Street and Lois Avenue.
According to the Tampa Police Department, Charles Kenneth Reynolds was struck by a vehicle around 8:40 p.m. Reynolds was died at the scene.
Police said they are not sure if Reynolds was riding the bicycle or walking it when the accident took place. The driver remained at the scene and no charges are expected to be filed in the accident.

Police Investigate Robbery On USF Campus
The University of South Florida Police Department is currently investigating a rob- bery. The robbery took place last Saturday.
According to police, the vic- tim was at the Tampa Campus near the Interdisciplinary Sci- ence Building (ISA) between 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., when an unknown Black man snatched property belonging to the vic- tim, who was not injured in the incident.
The suspect is described as having a medium build, medium complexion, approximately 30-40 years of age and 5’10” in height. He reportedly had short hair, and a goatee.
He fled the scene in the di- rection of USF Parking Lot 8A. Anyone having information regarding the incident is re- quested to contact the USF Police Department (813)
