Tampa (FL) Chapter The Links, Inc., Has Two Members Selected To Participate In National Leadership Institute
BY MONIQUE STAMPS Sentinel Feature Writer
The Tampa (FL) Chapter of the Links, Inc. continues to blossom and shine while working to bring aid and comfort to the Tampa Bay area. Recently, two of the chapter’s members were se- lected as participants in the prestigious Scott Hawkins Leadership Institute.
Every two years, only 40 Links are chosen from the 283 chapters worldwide. Having 2 Links selected from one chapter is a phenomenal feat that shows the dedica- tion to service that the Tampa chapter instills. Links Bianca Taylor- Heard and Kristina

The mission according to the National office: “The vi- sion of the Scott Hawkins Leadership Institute is to de- velop a cadre of compassion- ate, transformational leaders who exhibit principle-cen- tered awareness of self and others within The Links, In- corporated, and other organ- izations by being: accountable, collaborative, communicative, ethical, re- sults-driven, service-ori- ented, and sisterly.”

“I am most passionate about growing our Links community through educa- tion, outreach and network- ing, with a special focus on our younger members. I see an opportunity for our long- standing members to be more resourceful in building the next Links generation. As a leader I have seen first- hand the value of communi- cation, teamwork, inclusi- vity, and kindness. Respect- ing and understanding where each member is in their journey in Linkdom is essential to the success of our organization.”
