Fatal Drive-By Shooting Leaves 1 Dead; 2 Injured
Four Killed; Two Hurt After Stolen Vehicle Crashed
    On Monday night, a drive-by shooting took place in East Tampa. The gunmen struck three people riding in a vehicle.
According to the Tampa Police Department, the vic- tims were riding in a car near the intersection of E. Cayuga and N. 22nd Street, around 10:30 p.m. Someone in a sec- ond vehicle fired shots into the car striking all three vic- tims.
The victims drove to the Tampa Police Department, District 3 Office, where first aid was rendered before they were transported to a local hospital. One of the occu- pants in the vehicle has died. The other two are expected to survive.

the investigation is continu- ing.

According to the Tampa Police Department, four peo- ple died early Wednesday. There were 6 people riding in a stolen vehicle when it crashed into a ditch.
Police said officers ob- served a Nissan Altima that had been reported stolen at the intersection of E. Kennedy Blvd., and N. Dale Mabry. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop when the driver fled the scene in the vehicle in a high rate of speed. The officers initiated a pursuit that lasted about 2 minutes.

  into a ditch. The officers were able to pull two of the occu- pants from the car and ren- der first aid. Additional officers attempted to extract the other four in the car. However, they were unsuc-
cessful. All four were pro- nounced dead at the scene by Tampa Fire Rescue.
No additional informa- tion was available at press time. The investigation is continuing.
  Drive-By Shooting Leaves 2 Injured; Lands 2 In Jail
  Police have arrested 2 young men and charged them in connection with a drive-by shooting. The inci- dent took place late Monday night.
According to the Tampa Police Department, officers responded to the 300 block of E. Emily Street Monday night in reference to a shoot- ing. When officers arrived, they discovered an unoccu- pied white Nissan had crashed at that location.
The officers then located an adult woman who was suffering from gunshot in- juries. An adult man, who was also suffering from gun- shot wounds was located at a nearby residence. Both were reportedly in the white Nis- san at the time of the shoot- ing.
Both victims were trans- ported to a local hospital for treatment. Police said the woman’s injuries were more critical than the man’s. Po- lice have not released the names of either of the vic- tims.

Tundra. They fled the scene after the shooting.
Around 3:30 a.m., Tues- day, officers on patrol ob- served a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle.
Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop at the intersection of E. Fowler Av- enue and N. McKinley Drive. The suspects refused to stop and attempted to flee. After a brief pursuit, the suspects were stopped and all three occupants fled the scene on

foot near the 1200 block of E. Busch Blvd.
Two of the suspects were caught. They have been iden- tified as 23-year-old Darius Bland and 29-year-old Eric Casseus.
Bland was charged with 6 counts of burglary and vio- lation of curfew. Casseus was charged with 2 counts of burglary and resisting an of- ficer without violence.
The third man remains at large and the investigation is continuing.
