‘Shazam!’ Remains Victorious As ‘Little’ Beats ‘Hellboy’
Ludacris Hits The Studio With Timbaland For 10th Album
Warner Bros.’ superhero ad- venture “Shazam!” took a vic- tory lap at the domestic box office, retaining the No. 1 spot for the second weekend in a row.
“Shazam!” added another $25 million in its sophomore outing, bringing its North American haul to $94 million. That sum was easily enough to top a crop of newcomers in- cluding Universal’s comedy “Little,” Lionsgate’s remake of “Hellboy,” and Laika’s stop- motion animation “Missing Link.”
“Little” pulled in a mostly older female audience, with women accounting for 65% of ticket buyers and 56% over the age of 25. African Americans made up 43% of crowds, while 28% were Caucasian and 21% were Hispanic. Will Packer, known for his work on “Girls Trip,” “Night School,” and the “Ride Along” franchise, pro- duced the PG-13 comedy, which was directed by Tina Gordon. Martin, who came up with the premise of the movie, serves as the youngest executive producer of all time.
Ludacris is back in the stu- dio with acclaimed producer Timbaland, who helped him craft hits such as “Rollout (My Business).” The two are work- ing on Luda’s 10th solo album, which prompted the veteran rapper/actor to reflect on his career in a video posted on In- stagram.
“It’s the 20th year anniver- sary for Back For The First Time next year,” Luda said. “Back For The First Time came out in October of 2000. So, this will be album number 10 for me and year number 20. That’s really the inspiration of kinda going where not too many

artists have gone before. Being in the elite number of individ- uals that just have even gotten to double digits in albums is out of this world.

One of R. Kelly’s bank ac- counts has been left in the red after $150,000 was seized from his Wintrust Bank account, ac- cording to court documents ob- tained by The Blast.
Wintrust Bank alerted the dis- graced R&B superstar’s former landlord that Kelly had a nega- tive $13 balance.
The 52-year-old artist, who could face up to 70 years in prison for sexual abuse charges, has two other accounts with Bank of America. At the time of judgment, one reportedly held $44,595.58 and the other con- tained $110,056.64, totaling $154,527.22.
However, most of it was seized to satisfy the debt owed to his former landlord, leaving Kelly with $625.
The multi-platinum selling artist, who currently resides at the Trump International Hotel in Chicago, owes his former landlord a total of $173,000.

The landlord served subpoenas to Kelly’s banks as well as Sony Music and ASCAP.
ASCAP claims they don’t owe Kelly any money, so his former landlord is seeking $50,000 from Sony.
During Kelly’s dramatic in- terview with CBS This Morn- ing’s Gayle King, he said he had $350,000 in his bank ac- count at the time.
