secretary, male youth leader (he organized a Boy Scout troop), a baseball team (New Bethel Bullets), and was a mem- ber of the Brotherhood Min- istry and the Gospel Chorus. He served as an effective president of the Seffner-Thonotosassa Council for community affairs for several years. His service was always available in any other capacity where there was a need. He later became a mem- ber of First Missionary Baptist Church of Seffner, under the leadership of Pastor Nathaniel Love. His favorite scripture was John 3:16 and his favorite hymn was, “What a Friend We Have In Jesus.”
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sandra Yvette Ervin; sisters, Mattie Mae Ervin and Lila Joyce Ervin- McCardy; aunts, Olivia Brown- Smith and Josephine Brown; uncles, Lazarus N. Brown and W. M. Brown; and nephew, Herbert Lamar Ervin.
He will be dearly missed and cherished memories will be re- membered by: his loving and dedicated wife of 60 years, Es- ther Stancil Ervin; daughter, Cynthia Yolanda Ervin; brother, Herbert Ervin; sister, Lee Etta Love, Columbia, SC; nephews, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Robert Love, Jr. (Julie) of Alexandria, VA, Rodney Love (Pilani), Co- lumbia, SC, Hercules Stancil, Jr. (Sonja), Mulberry, FL, and Troy Stancil (Cassie), Bradley, FL; nieces, Torya McCardy Pow- ell, Marlboro, MD, Yolanda M. Ervin, Tampa, FL, Laurea Warner (Johnny), Debbie Mitchell (Frederick), Bradley, FL and Mamie Thomas, Lake- land, FL; a host of other rela- tives, including the legacies of: Stancil, Ervin, Warner, Nealy, White, Scurry and Brown fami- lies.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Fri- day, September 20th, from 5 to 7 p. m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p. m.
The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.

      MR. K. D. TRIPP, SR.
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. K. D. Tripp, Sr., of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Fri- day, September 6, 2019, will be held Saturday, September 21st, 10 a. m. at First Baptist Church of Progress Village, 8722 Progress Blvd., Dr. Sam Maxwell, Senior Teaching Pastor, with Todd Hammond, Executive Pastor, presiding. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
K. D. Tripp was born March 12, 1934 in Cottondale, Florida, to the late Jake Tripp and Trussie Bellamy-Tripp. He at- tended school in Jackson County, Cottondale, Florida be- fore moving to Tampa. He at- tended St. Matthew Baptist Church in Cottondale, Florida and accepted Christ at an early age. He was a truck driver and crane operator for Shulnberg Scrap Metal Company for over 62 years before retiring.
He enjoyed being a me- chanic, working on cars, trucks; he also enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with family. He married the late Lee M. Tripp in November 28, 1956.
He was preceded in death by: his son, K. D. Tripp, Jr.; siblings, Eddie L. Tripp, Robert Tripp, Celec Snell, Minnie L. Tripp and Retha Mae Tripp-Williams.
He leaves to cherish his pre- cious memories with: his son, Elmo Garrett (Cynthia), of Greenwood, Florida; daughters, Laura Tripp and Barbara Tripp; grandchildren, Keisha Garrett of Greenwood, Florida, Tiffany Garrett of Greenwood, Florida, Lateefah Tripp, Marcellas Derr- Tripp, Gregory Tripp (LaMecha), Nicole Tripp (Malcom), all of Tampa, Florida, Ciera Collins (Billy) of Greenwood, Florida, Courtney Timmons of Jack- sonville, Florida, Erica Tripp and Aisa Mosely, of Tampa Florida; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great- great grandchild; sisters, Agnes Gray (Sam), Minnie F. Tripp and Mary E. Johnson, all of Cotton- dale, Florida; brother-in-law, Mizell Webb (Joyce), of Cotton- dale, Florida; a host of nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. The fam- ily and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.

DEACON SAMUEL ERVIN, JR.
A Homegoing Celebration for Deacon Samuel Ervin, Jr. of Seffner, Florida, who passed away Friday, September 6, 2019, will be held on Saturday, Sep- tember 21st, 2 p. m. at First Mis- sionary Baptist Church of Seffner, 6720 St. Rd 579, Seffner, Florida, Pastor Nathaniel Love, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Samuel was born February 11, 1936 in Tampa, Florida, to the late Rev. Samuel Ervin, Sr. and Mrs. Estella Brown Ervin. He was educated in the schools of Hillsborough County, gradu- ating from Middleton Senior High School. He also attended Allen University, Columbia, South Carolina. He retired from Continental Can Company, Tampa, Florida.
After his retirement he be- came an entrepreneur, founder and owner of S&E Janitorial Service, Inc. He qualified as an MBE status with the State of Florida, Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa.
He was united in holy matri- mony with Esther Stancil Ervin and from that union they had two daughters.
He was converted and bap- tized at the age of twelve, at Mt. Zion M. B. Church of Tampa, Rev. R. H. Whitaker, pastor. He became a member of New Bethel Progressive M. B. Church in 1961, under the Pastor, Rev. L. R. Stancil, and was ordained a deacon in 1963. He served as a Sunday school teacher, financial

Johnny J. Harris was born De- cember 24, 1956, in Albany, Geor- gia. He was a handy man and enjoyed dancing.

A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Eloise Lee Smith of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2019, will be held on Saturday, September 21st, 2 p. m., at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd., Rev. Timothy Lan- caster, officiating.
Eloise was born August 8, 1942 in Arlington, Georgia to the late Carzell Pinkney, Sr. and Hilda Hall Pinkney. She was a former member of Piney Grove M. B. Church, Arlington, GA, Pilgrim Rest Freewill Baptist Church, Lakeland, Florida, and Mt. Mo- riah Primitive Baptist Church, Tampa, Florida. She graduated from Kestler High School in Ar- lington, Georgia, and later at- tended Albany State pursing a business degree. She previously worked for Lakeland General Hospital, Kraft Foods and retired from Group Technologies.
Her presence, laughter and love will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was known by some as “Teate” and others knew her as “Wild Bill.”
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Walter Willie Amones, Robert Smith and companion, Jessie Williams; sib- lings, Mary “Sallie Mae” Pinkney Smith, Arvilla “Pepper” Pinkney Simmons, Pearlie “Bot” Pinkney Webb, Adena “Tiny” Pinkney Reynolds, Hannah Pinkney Hud- son, Deacon Carzell E. “Charlie Boy” Pinkney, Jr., Barbara Ann “Slooby” Pinkney Bryant and Leaner “Moochie” Pinkney Leve- ston.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Rachel Ann Amones and Rita Elaine Smith; granddaughter, Samya Hicks; sister, Zellean “Polly” Pinkney Mackey, Albany, GA; brother-in-law, Tommy Leveston, Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
