MRS. BARBARA BROOKS JONES
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Barbara Brooks Jones of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019, will be held Saturday, September 21st, 11 a. m. at New Bethel Pro- gressive Missionary Baptist Church, 3001 E. North Bay Street, Pastor Reginal T. Webb, officiat- ing. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Barbara Brooks Jones, the daughter of the late Bessie and Oliver Brooks, was born on March 2, 1930 in Enterprise, Ala- bama. During early elementary school years, Barbara attended Coffee County Training School in Enterprise, Alabama. She later relocated to New York, then onto Tampa, with her first-born daughter.
Barbara met Jesse Jones, Jr. in 1958, and was later united in holy matrimony on March 11, 1969. To their union four chil- dren were born (James, Juanita, Jessie, and Ricky). After retiring as a dry-cleaning presser for over 50 years Barbara loved going to church, singing in the Gospel Voices of Praise, still ironing for the family, cooking, and cleaning her yard. She was best known as being a loving neighbor to all.

EVANGELIST JOE ARTHUR JACKSON
Homegoing Celebration for Evangelist Joe Arthur Jackson will be held Saturday, Septem- ber 21, 2019, at 11 a. m. at First Mount Carmel AME Church, 4406 North 26th Street, Tampa, FL 33610, with Pastor Byron Pressley officiating. Interment will follow at Orange Hill Ceme- tery, 4900 E Chelsea St., Tampa, FL 33610.
We all have an assigned jour- ney and on September 12, 2019, Evangelist Joe Arthur Jackson’s (aka Joe Joe) journey came to an end.
Joe A. Jackson was born Oc- tober 3, 1958 to the late Betty J. Heyward and James Jr. Vickers, Sr. and the loving grandson of James and Rosie Mae Johnson, who preceded him in death.
He attended public schools of Hillsborough County. Joe was an Evangelist; Entrepreneur, a talented singer and a people per- son. He met people from all walks of life and left them with a positive impact.
Joe was truly blessed and was the 6th child of 17 siblings, 4 of which preceded him in death: James Jackson, Denise Jackson, Francedia King, and Donna Hollins.
Joe leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and caring 2 daughters, Laura (Michelle) Jones-McCoy and son-in- law, Michael McCoy, Lay’onna Jack- son; and step-son, Kingsley Pert; loving father Richard Heyward, Sr., and loving step-mother, Annie Vickers; sisters, Callie (Edward) Edmond, Margaret (Willie) Glover, Rose James, Shirley Vickers, Vickie Mack; brothers, Charles Jackson, Den- nis Jackson, Darryle Jackson, Richard (Sherna) Heyward, Shannon (Serena) Heyward, James Earl Vickers, Larry Vick- ers and Danny Vickers; grand- children, Steven (Mookie) Smith, Afrika Hewitt, Unique McCoy; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and everlasting relationships with Vinnie Jack- son, Harriet (Rachel) Lee, Regi- nald Young, Ray Barnes, Jackie Hunter and other loving friends.
Visitation is this Friday from 6 p. m. until 8 p. m. Assembly begins at 10:45 a. m. on Satur- day.

MS. LINDA A. WATSON (JOHNSON)
Ms. Linda A. Watson (John- son) passed away Sunday, Sep- tember 15, 2019. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 21, 2019, at 12 noon at New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2511 E. Colum- bus Dr., Rev. Larry L. Roundtree, II, Pastor, officiat- ing.
Ms. Watson was born in Clifton Springs, New York on January 31, 1954 and relocated to Tampa, FL at an early age. She was educated by the Public Schools of Hillsborough County. She enjoyed eating crabs, shop- ping and traveling with family and close friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Roman John- son and Charlie-Mae Jackson Johnson; son, Thomas Berry, Jr.; 5 brothers, Arthur Lee, Lewis Bell, Ronald Johnson, Jerome Johnson, and Addison Johnson; 2 sisters, Pricilla Williams and Annie Conley; 2 nieces, LeAndra Johnson and LarnQuavia Terrell.
She is survived by: brothers, Marvin Laster (Lisa) of Utah, Everett Johnson, Rayvell John- son; and sister, Gaynell John- son; cousin, Evangelist Jewel Davis-Reed (Joe), all of Tampa, FL.
She leaves to cherish her lov- ing memories: 5 grandchildren, TaMesha, Thomas, Tylinda, TyKeria, and TyNylind; 4 great- grandchildren, TyRiah, Rondell, TyLeria, and Domanii; a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, sisters-n- law, and close friends. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
The visitation will be held at Harmon Funeral Home, Friday, September 20th, from 5 to 8 p. m.

MR. RASHYEID OBEDIAH MELVIN
Mr. Rashyeid Obediah Melvin of Tampa, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019. Fu- neral services will be conducted Saturday, September 21, at 2 p. m. at Crossover Church, 1235 E. Fowler Avenue, with Pastor Tommy Kyllonen, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Mr. Rashyeid Obediah Melvin was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida. He was the middle child of five boys born to Mr. James R. Melvin and Rose Marie Anglin-Melvin. Rashyeid was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough and Pasco Counties. He fur- thered his education and gradu- ated with honors from Lincoln University with a degree in Wellness & Nutrition.
Rashyeid was an outstand- ing athlete. After College he played for the Lakeland Jaguars and was invited to play football in Europe. He was known in the community and loved by many. He loved music and was also an upcoming Rap Star. His hob- bies were music, yoga and sports.
Mr. Melvin leaves to cherish his life memories: his loving parents, James R. Melvin and Rose Marie Anglin-Melvin; four brothers, Tony Melvin, Mario Melvin (Burganndi), Shaquille Melvin and Malik Melvin; spe- cial friend, Leandra Roberts; loving grandmother, Birdie Salmon; grandfather, Lloyd Melvin; uncles, aunts, and a host of cousins and friends.
The remains will repose after 5 p. m. Friday, September 20th, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.
