Stabbing
On Friday, Polk County Sheriff’s Office detectives ar- rested 45-year-old Earnest Anthony, Jr. after he al- legedly solicited online an un- dercover detective whom Anthony reportedly thought was a 13-year-old girl.
According to the report, in March 2015 the detective posted a profile of a 13-year- old local girl on a social net- working site during an undercover operation. The de- tective was contacted by a man who told her he was 20 years old and from Poinciana, detec- tive said.
During the online and text conversations, the man report- edly told the girl he had had 13 and 14-year-old girlfriends be- fore, and that age was just a number. The man reportedly asked her if she was a virgin, and if she would be his girl- friend. The man then asked her to send nude photos of herself to him, and asked if he could perform lewd acts on her. The man sent her lewd photos by text, and was positively identi- fied as Anthony.
Anthony is a registered sex offender and his prior criminal history includes arrests for ag- gravated rape, aggravated kid- napping, aggravated incest, indecent behavior with a juve- nile, forcible rape, cocaine pos- session, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Detectives said Anthony made plans to meet with the girl so that he could have sex with her on his birthday, April 2nd. Anthony then allegedly made plans to meet with the girl on March 27th. He traveled to Polk County and was met in- stead by detectives and ar- rested.
