The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warrant for a Tampa man. He is wanted in connection with a sex crime involving child.
Being Sought By Police
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, detectives initiated an investi- gation on February 27th after receiving a complaint. The de- tectives were informed that Eric Darnell McNeil, 22, ini- tiated a personal relationship with a child that later turned into a sexual relationship.
Police did not release any additional information about the victim or the relationship with McNeil because of the nature of the investigation.
Detectives said they have at- tempted to locate McNeil but were unable to because he does not have a permanent address.

On March 11th, an uniden- tified suspect broke into a home in the 1700 block of E. Idell Street. During the bur- glary, the suspect took the vic- tims debit and social security cards.
On the same day, someone successfully changed the PIN number on the debit card and withdrew $1,000 in cash from an ATM machine at Wawa, 804 E. Bearss Avenue. An unidentified suspect pur- chased a gift card in the amount of $600 and obtained $100 in cash from the Wal- mart Store, 2701 E. Fletcher Avenue.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information leading to the arrest and con- viction of the persons involved in the crime.

The U. S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida unsealed three indict- ments. The indictments charged 16 people with federal drug trafficking crimes.
According to the indictments, between December 2015 and March 2017, the defendants conspired to distribute heroin or cocaine.
An indictment is merely a formal charge that a defendant has committed one or more vi- olations of federal criminal law, and every defendant is pre- sumed innocent unless, and until, proven guilty.
The individuals taken into custody live in the Middle Dis- trict of Florida. Those living in Tampa and the charges filed against them are: Angel Alexis Alicea, aka “Maly,” 28; Jose Leonardo Jimenez, aka “Cuzzy,” 28; Jose Angel Leonardo Jimenez, aka “Chuki,” 26; Jose Antonio Crespo-Ne- gron, aka “Chepo,” 30, Juan Carlos Lopez, aka “Bori,” 33; Freddie Resto 58; and Robert Kelly, 55.
Rachel Augustine Thomas, 55, of St. Petersburg; Jesus Alberto Bermudez Caraballo, aka “Bebo,” 28; Jose Carlos Polanco Vasquez, aka “Pola,” 28; Raul Vicente Espada Ortiz, aka “Gordo,” 39; and Deyvis Lee Echevarria, 29, all of Or- lando; were also charged.
Felix Mejia Lagunas, aka “Carlos Lagunas Sal- gado,” 41, Riverside, Califor- nia, was taken into custody as well. They were all charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute heroin.
Additionally, Hector Luis Vazquez Alvalle, aka Hecti- tor, 40, of Orlando; Alberto Torres Ortiz, aka “El-Viejo, 39, Homestead; and Christian Torres Vazquez, 30, of
Guayama, Puerto Rico, were charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distrib- ute cocaine.
If convicted each faces a maximum of 40 years in fed- eral prison. The government also notified the defendants that they plan to take posses- sion of $79,520 in cash, along with an Acura ILX, and Ford F- 250, which are considered traceable proceeds of the crimes.
Paul Wysopal, Special Agent in Charge of the F.B.I. Tampa Division said, “We are proud of the multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional effort to disrupt an alleged drug distri- bution network in our commu- nity. We as law enforcement officers took an oath to serve and protect and this operation exemplifies that commitment.”
Tampa Police Chief Eric Ward said, “This is the result of a collaborative, long-term ef- fort by local, state, and federal agencies,” said Tampa Police Chief Eric Ward. “We’re working together to get dan- gerous drugs and dangerous in- dividuals off the streets, and making our communities safer.”
FDLE Commissioner Rick Swearingen said, "After FDLE agents worked with Tampa police officers to initiate this long term investigation, FDLE, along with our partners, seized numerous kilos of co- caine and heroin, firearms and currency from an international, criminal street gang and suc- cessfully shut down a major heroin and cocaine trafficking organization in our state. De- tecting and dismantling this type of criminal organization is a priority of FDLE and we work diligently in collaboration with our local, state, and federal partners to remove these threats."
Police Search For Armed Kidnapping Suspects
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is currently in- vestigating two unrelated kid- nappings. The offenses took place last week.
In the first incident, police said the victim was at the Oak Bend Apartment Complex when he was approached by two Black men around 4 a.m. He was forced into his car at gunpoint. The suspects drove him to the Bank of America ATM at Fowler and Nebraska Avenue, where they forced him to withdraw money. The victim complied.
The suspects then drove him back to the apartment complex and took his cell phone. They fled the scene on foot.
Both men who wore ski masks are described as being between 22 and 29 years old, with thin builds.
In the second incident, the victim was sitting in his parked vehicle outside the Spanish Trace apartments when he was approached by three Black teenagers. Two of the suspects were armed.
The suspects forced the vic- tim to withdraw money from several locations and forced him to make several purchases before driving him back to the location he was abducted from. They then fled on foot.
The victim described two of them as being between 15 and 16 years old and the third in his early 20s. All three wore hood- ies, police said.
