MS. CORENE DAVIS
A Homegoing Service for Ms. Corene Davis, who was called home on May 4, 2019, will be conducted Saturday, May 11th, at 1 p. m. at the Laura Street Church of Christ, 1310 E. Laura Street, Plant City, with Bro. Ben Radford, officiating. Interment will take place at the Garden of Peace in Plant City, FL.
Ms. Corene Davis was born February 4, 1932, in Zolfo Springs, Florida, to the late General and Blessie Davis. She was educated in the Hillsbor- ough County Public School Sys- tem and after graduation, worked in various jubs until she retired from the Hillsbor- ough County School System.
Ms. Davis was Baptized at an early age into the body of Christ, where she served as a faithful member at Laura Street Church of Christ until she was called home.
She was preceded in death by her: parents, General and Blessie; and her siblings, Lue Benny Hankins, Theodore McGill, Frank Stevens, Hazel Radford, Jerome Davis, Sr., Nathaniel Davis, Edwin Davis, Sr., Carl Davis, Alfonza Davis, Annie Bell Singleton, Izell Davis, Lula Bell Napier, and Joe Davis.
She leaves to cherish her memory with: her daughter, Spring Watson (Alphonso); her son, Ret. Col. Edward “Peck” Knowles (Karen); her daughter, Jarrell Faye Brown (Darrell); and son, Craig Wal- lace (Sherrie). A special nephew, (like a son), Edwin Davis, Jr., (Erma); thirteen grandchildren, Tracey Cross (Michael), Angela Hicks (John), Kiara Dickens (Lorenzo), Ivory Granger, (El- liad), Kim McClure (Casey), Jarvis Mitchell (Brittani), Jar- rett Mitchell (Jessica), JaRod- ney Wallace (Carla), Darrell “Jamal” Brown, Elliot Knowles, Damian Brown, Stephanie Knowles, and Dema- tris Lemon.
A special niece (care giver), Gwendolyn Barnes. Eighteen great-grandchildren, 1 sister, Lorene Chisolm, of Buffalo, NY, two sisters-in-law, Eliza- beth Davis and Karyn Davis, of Buffalo, NY, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and church family.
The visitation will be held Friday, May 10, from 5 p.m., to 7 p.m., at the Laura Street Church of Christ.

RETIRED LT. COL. JAMES ARTHUR HAMMOND (U. S. ARMY)
Funeral services for Re- tired Lt. Col. James Arthur Hammond, U. S. Army, who passed on May 1, 2019 will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at 11 a. m. at Beulah Bap- tist Institutional Church, 1006 W. Cypress Street, Tampa, Florida, with Rev. Dr. W. James Favorite, Pastor, Eulo- gist and Ron Carter, officiat- ing. Military honors will be conducted by the U. S. Army Honor Guards.
Mr. Hammond was pre- ceded in death by: his parents, William Hammond, Lucile Hammond and his beloved wife of 49 years, Evelyne.
He is survived by: his sons, Kevin (Tonya) Hammond, Gary (Carol) Hammond and Kerrick (Theta) Williams; daughter, Lisa Hammond; grandchildren, Mykal (Jemma) Hammond, Kevin (Melody) Rowe, Jennifer Jones, Robyn (Cory) Smith, Tremain (Brittany) Exford, Tiffany (Sherod) Fulks, Nekki (Benjamin) Shivers, Vamesha Jackson and Troy Jackson; a host of great grandchildren and great- great grandchil- dren; brother, Dr. Robert Hammond (Louise); sister-in- law, Lynda Lewis and many other relatives and friends.
His remains will repose on Friday, May 10, 2019, at Beu- lah Baptist Institutional Churchfrom6–8p.m.with the family present from 6:30 – 8p.m.
Friends are asked to as- semble at the church on Satur- day at approximately 10:45 a. m. for the service.

MS. ISABELL JAMES
Graveside Service for Ms. Isabell James, who peacefully closed her eyes and slipped away to the other side on April 28, 2019, will be held on Sat- urday, May 11, 2019, at 11 a. m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Av- enue Tampa, Florida with Rev. W. D. Sims, officiating. Inter- ment will follow.
Ms. Isabell James was born on July 15, 1924 in At- more, Alabama, to the parent- age of Mr. Travis and Mary (Mamie) Thomas James. She briefly attended school for the blind in Alabama. Ms. James resided in Tampa, Florida for the past 30 years or more. The spirit of Ms. Isabell James took flight at the call of our Heavenly Father to that man- sion prepared by our wise and loving God.
Ms. James will be greatly missed by her niece, Eloise White of Tampa, Florida; 1 sis- ter-in-law, Elouise James of Bishopville, SC; devoted loved ones, Moses Oliver and wife, Margaret Oliver of Chicago, Illinois, Johnita and Johnny Bryant of Alabama, Jackie Reynold of Texas, Hazel Snell of California and a host of other nieces, nephews, rela- tives and friends.
There will be a viewing on Friday, May 10, 2019, at Wil- son Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida, from5–8p.m.

MR. SAMMIE LEE ‘SAM’ OUSLEY, SR.
A viewing for Mr. Sammie Lee “Sam” Ousley, Sr. will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019, from5–8p.m.atWilsonFu- neral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
We are laying to rest Mr. Sammie Lee Ousley, Sr., who was born to the late L. D. Ous- ley and Mary Willie Brewer Ousley, on September 27, 1945 in Leflore County, Itta Bena, Mississippi.
Mr. Sam Ousley, Sr. later moved to Tampa, Florida, where he resided for most of his life. He confessed his belief in Christ and was a member of People for Christ Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Thomas Hadden. On April 25, 2019 God sent his death angel to take Sam home to his eter- nal rest.
Sam leaves to cherish lov- ing memories with: four chil- dren; 8 grandchildren; a brother, Willie D. (Angeline) Ousley; 2 sisters, Earlean Ous- ley and Betty Ousley and other relatives and friends.

MR. DENLEY E. JOSEPH
A Homegoing Celebration Service for Mr. Denley E. Joseph, who passed on May 3, 2019, will be held on Thurs- day, May 16, 2019, at 11 a. m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 13312 Cain Road, Tampa, Florida 33625, Rev. Robert C. Douglas, Rector, with Rev. Ernestine Flemister and Rev. Edward Henley, Officiants of St. James House of Prayer. In- terment will be conducted on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 10 a. m. at Sunset Memory Gar- dens.
Denley E. Joseph was born on January 19, 1931 in Seatons Village, Antigua, to Ruby Thomas and was raised by his grandmother, Margaret Thomas, who helped to instill his love of prayer and God. He loved cooking and was trained as a Master Baker before leav- ing the island at the age of 21 to look for work in Chicago and New York. Used to the warm Caribbean weather, he fled the cold for Florida, where he met the love of his life, Inez, whom he affection- ately called ‘Dr. J’.
Mr. Joseph was the Busi- ness Manager for the Labors Local Union #1207, where he obtained work for his mem- bers to build many projects throughout Tampa such as Busch Gardens and the Ship- yard.
He was preceded in death by: his siblings, Keithly, Fos- ter, Lesroy, Berniece, Geral- dine and Paulette.
Mr. Joseph leaves to cher- ish precious memories with: his wife, Dr. Inez Joseph; his children, Deirdre, Denton (Stephanie), Jackie Alleyne (Luke); his grandchildren, Dalen, Jesela and Jordan; his sister, Gwen Koenigbaur (Fred); his nieces and nephews in Antigua, Canada and the United States; a host of cousins and friends who are like family and his church family.
A viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday, May15,2019from5p.m.–7 p. m. at his beloved church, St. James House of Prayer Epis- copal Church, 2708 N. Central Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33602. In lieu of flowers, do- nations may be made in his memory to St. James House of Prayer Episcopal Church to be used for the special projects he loved – the youth, the gar- dens and the grounds.
Friends are asked to as- semble at the church on Thursday at approximately 10:45 a. m.
