One Tampa family is grieving after a young man died as a result of a gunshot wound. The shooting took place last Tuesday at 8121 Cran- moore Place. He died on Friday.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the apartment complex in reference to a shooting. When the deputies arrived shortly after 6 p.m., they found the victim. He was described as an adult male, who was outside an apartment building.
The victim had been shot in the upper body. He was transported to Tampa General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, he later died. Police have not identified the victim and no arrests have been made in the case.
However, his mother, Ms. Niki White Bryant said her son is Nicholas White, who cel- ebrated his 22nd birthday on January 3rd.
Ms. Bryant said her son was the great grand- son of the late Moses White, and the grandson of Reginald White. She also said he accom- plished much during his lifetime.
“He loved playing sports and played football at Middleton High School. He went on to graduate Valedictorian from Broach High School.”
She further said he was actively involved in the community as a member of the Black Male College

However, his love was music and he had dreams of not just being a music producer, he wanted to be a music mogul, his mother said.
“He and his best friend owned the RAWGOLD label and his most recent release was “No Name 3.” He loved to read, but his goal was to become a music mogul. And he was committed to helping new artists as much as he could.
“He loved everyone, especially his children and family, and always wanted to help. Whenever you saw him, he was always laughing or smiling,” she said.
Ms. Bryant said her son was found on Tues- day evening, but 18 hours passed before his family was notified. He was listed as a “John Doe” al- though he had his identification on him. We want justice. His family is seeking justice.”
Ms. Bryant said her son did not live at the complex where he was found.
In addition to being the father of a son and daughter, White is survived by his parents (William C. Bryant, II); and has 3 brothers and 2 sisters, as well as other family members and friends.
Funeral services for White will take place on Saturday. Integrity Funeral Home is in charge of handling arrangements.
