  Hymn Lovers Of Every Age Celebrate In Tampa
 Citizen Oversight Committee Meeting
The next scheduled meeting of the Citizen Oversight Com- mittee, the group that oversees the referendum spending on school improvement projects, is Friday, May 10, at 8 a. m. The meeting will be held in the second floor conference room (#242a) Velasco Student Services Center, located at 1202 E. Palm Ave., Tampa.
This committee reviews the spending, progress and com- pletion of all projects related to the $131 million a year gener- ated by the half-penny sales tax. This meeting’s agenda includes the communications plan to inform families and the community about each project and an update on how projects are selected.

The East Hillsboro Heights Neighborhood Crime Watch meeting is held the 2nd Monday of each month. The meetings are held 6:30-7:30 p. m., at Fair Oaks Community Center, 5019 N. 34th Street, Tampa 33610.l
The next meeting is Monday, May 13th, and newly-elected Mayor Jane Castor is the guest speaker.

Revitalization
Partnership Meeting
The East Tampa Community Revitalization Partnership will meet on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 10 a. m., at Ragan Park Com- munity Center, 1200 E. Lake Avenue (33610).
The mission of the East Tampa Community Revitalization Partnership (ETCRP) is to work with all levels of government, community organizations, other stakeholders and citizens to provide leadership and oversight of the Community Redevelop- ment Agency and Tax Increment Fund in transforming East Tampa into a neighborhood of vibrant residential, commercial, social and cultural life through the implementation of the East Tampa Community Redevelopment Plan.
The Community Advisory Committee is led by: Natasha Goodley, Chairperson; Evangeline R. Best, Vice-Chairper- son; Ricky J. Bell, Chantel Griffin-Stampfer, Kim Head- land and James Cameron Hypes.
 As the annual Hymn Lovers Conference (HLC) wrapped up its 7th year, many would agree that one of the highlights of this year's con- ference was to hear from one of Tampa’s matriarchs, Mrs. Curtiss Wilson. The 90- year-old’s late husband, Clarence Wilson, Sr. was one of the founders of the historic Wilson Funeral Home.
Carlton Burgess, HLC Founder says, “I had no idea that Mrs. Wilson and I share a deep love for the hymns of the church. She brought the house down dur- ing the conference with her sermon about the need to keep hymn singing alive. Her words were interrupted with her inserting favorite hymns,
