RAY WILLIAMS
REVEREND WILLIE MAE PETERSON
Reverend Willie Mae Peter- son, of Tampa, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020. Fu- neral services will be conducted Saturday, November 7 at 11 a.m. at Life in Christ Community Church, 9706 N. 26th Street, Rev- erend Marcia Turner, officiating with Reverend Arthur Randall, Eulogist. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ms. Willie Mae Peterson was a native of Ocilla, Georgia, and a resident of Tampa for 66 years. She was a graduate of Chamber- lain High School and was a mem- ber of Pilgrims Rest Missionary Baptist Church. Ms. Peterson was employed as a Line Inspec- tor with Honeywell/ Group Tech- nology.
She was preceded in death by: her mother, Susie Mae Carver; father, Nathaniel Carver; and son, James Peter- son.
She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Sulema Hes- ter; sons, Walter Johnson and Charles Baker; sister, Sheila Thomas (Fred); grandchildren, Corey Chisholm, Ramel Hester, Brandon Goff, James Peterson, Jr., (LaTasha), Jayson Peterson, Jada Peterson, and Jarquez White; great granddaughter, Faith Peterson; nieces, Lakendra Manes (Bismarck) and Shelathia Hilliard; nephews, Frederick Thomas, Jermaine Thomas and Christopher Thomas; great nephews and nieces, Steve Lee, Jacob Manes, Andre Hilliard, Trevon Hilliard, Kenya Hilliard, Kobi Hilliard, Cherise Shaw, Malaysia Facin, and Kevin Facin; godchildren, Robert Reese, II, (Nicole), Tiffany Solomon, and Charles Bellamy; special friends, Lou Henery, Lilly Williams, Willie Mae Williams, Willie Mae Charles, Dorothy Johnson, LaTesa Moore, Loretta Ingra- ham Super Seniors, Pilgrims Rest M. MS. ENDA L. SMITH
Ms. Edna L. Smith, of Tampa, passed away and got her wings and went to walk with the angels and her heavenly family at the age of 77, on Friday, October 30, 2020, at Brandon Regional Hos- pital.
Funeral services will be con- ducted Friday, November 6, at 1:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Me- morial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue with Pastor Kathy Hunter, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memo- rial Park Cemetery.

Ms. Edna Smith was born to Pauline Hardnett and Clarence Forney, in Calhoun County, Ala- bama. She later transitioned to Boston, MA, at a young age and was joined by her family.
She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior and was a member of River Hills Church of God in Tampa FL.
She worked for the School District of Hillsborough County and was a Florist.
It would be wrong to say that Edna lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No mat- ter how sick she was she was al- ways determined. When anyone else would have broken she al- ways stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly looks like.
She was a real fighter. When she was happy about something she would often say “Who did it! - God did it!”
During her life Edna was known for style, grace and loved the finer things in life. She was classy and elegant as well as cre- ative.
Edna was preceded in death by: her grandmother; her par- ents; and her sister, Nelline Hardnett.
She leaves to cherish her pre- cious memories that will live for- ever in the hearts of: her daughter, Sandra Little and hus- band Paul Johnson; her son, Ed- ward and Anna Smith; grandson, Jason Jemison; granddaughter, Serenity Jemi- son; her brothers, John Jemison and Kenneth Hardnett; her sis- ters, Elizabeth Hardnett, Elouise Porter, and Clara Ann Coffie Jackson, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
The Visitation will be held Friday, November 6, from 11:00 a.m. until funeral time at Ray Williams Funeral Home.

MRS. EVELYN Y. WHITE
Mrs. Evelyn Y. White, 91, of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 26, 2020, with her loving family surrounding her. Funeral serv- ices will be conducted Saturday, November 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue with Rev- erend Kirk R. Bogen, officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida.

Mrs. White was born in We- laka, Florida, to Reverend John Baptist Young and Beulah Hill Young. She attended elementary school in New York City, before returning to Tampa to attend Booker T. Washington Jr., High and George S. Middleton High School and was honored to be Valedictorian of the Class of 1946.
Mrs. White furthered her ed- ucation and attended Talladega College, where she earned a BA degree in Education. While at Talladega College, she pledged the Chi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., in 1948, ulti- mately attaining the position of Pearl Soror.
She also earned a Master’s de- gree in Education from the Uni- versity of South Florida.
Mrs. White was preceded in death by: her parents, Reverend John Baptist Young and Beulah Hill Young; her husband of 59 years, Mr. Cecil White, Sr.; her brothers, Mr. Clarence Strong and Mr. John B. Young, Jr.; and four sisters, Ms. Francis Y. Ep- person, Ms. Loretta Y. Nixon, Ms. Bernice Young, and Ms. Gladys Young.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two children, Dr. Cecil White, Jr., of Atlantic Beach, Florida, and Ms. Cecilia Renee White, of Tampa, Florida; two grandchildren, Attorney Eliza- beth Paige White, of Washington, D.C. and Mr. Cecil White, III, of New York, New York.
She is also survived by a sis- ter, Ms. Lucille Mayzes of Palatka, Florida; a brother, Mr. Leon (Marie) Hill, of Palatka, Florida; and a host of grieving nieces and nephews.
The Visitation will be held Saturday, November 7, one hour prior to service time (10 a.m. – 11 a.m.) at Ray Williams Funeral Home.

Our beloved, Mamie Lee Pittman was a native of Mari- anna, FL and a resident of Tampa for many years. Mamie was the oldest daughter of the late Cassie Blackshear and Joe Bellamy.
She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Progress Village, where she served as an usher during her more active years.
She was employed at Town n’ Country Hospital, Environmen- tal Services Department for 25 years until she retired.
Mamie was a gentle soul who loved her family. She loved to cook large meals for her family during the holidays and did not mind sharing her recipes if re-
