Dungy To Be
NFL Star Tells League To Ignore Trump: He'll Be 'Out Of Office In Two Years'
JOSH NORMAN
Josh Norman, a corner- back for the Washington Red- skins, says that NFL teams and owners should ignore Presi- dent Trump’s ongoing criti- cism of the league and players who kneel in protest during the national anthem.
When asked in an inter- view on Tuesday how the league should react to the president’s repeated attacks, Norman said they shouldn’t do anything at all.
“I wouldn't tell them to do a f---ing thing,” Norman said. “This guy is going to be out of office in two years. I think we'll be OK.”
Norman has a history of being outspoken about his criticism towards the presi- dent. The NFL player said in August 2017, just days after Trump suggested NFL own- ers fire players who kneel in protest during the national an- them, that Trump is “not my president."
“He was chosen, true,” Norman said at the time. “But when a president acts like that, what do you say to that? That’s not someone that stands with dignity, pride, re- spect, honor.”
NFL's Best Defenses In
Inducted Into Bucs
2018? Jaguars, Vikings
Ring Of Honor
Absolutely Loaded
Hall of fame coach and former head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tony Dungy is already in the the Indianapolis Colts Ring of Honor, and he's about to be enshrined into the Bucs Ring of Honor.
The Buccaneers gave him his first head coaching shot and is also the team that fired him, but Dungy is a man with incredible faith.
He says he holds no re- sentment.
The team held a news conference Tuesday to offi- cially announce Dungy as the soon-to-be Ring of Honor member.
Dungy said he hopes to be remembered when fans look up at his name inside Raymond James Stadium.
"I hope they remember me as someone who helped shape the course of the fran- chise," Dungy told re- porters. "I hope they think I got people excited about Tampa football again. I hope they remember me as a coach that had very good teams but had some great young men playing. That I tried to lead those young men in the right way and in the right direc- tion. My focus wasn't just on winning games, but it was on being the best we could be on and off the field. If they think that I would be happy."
Coach Dungy will be en- shrined at Raymond James Stadium during a half-time ceremony on September 24
TONY DUNGY
when the Bucs host the Steel- ers, the team Dungy began his NFL career with as a player.
Dungy touched on a va- riety of topics including Jameis Winston and his current situation.
"I look at it as something my dad would always tell me... with the same phrase, all the time: 'What are you going to do now to make the situation better?'" Dungy said. "I think that's where we are, and that's where Jameis is. We can look back on it and debate why it hap- pened and all the negatives, but it's where we are, and what does he have to do now to be that leader on and off the field that the Buccaneers need?
"He has to figure that out. He has to mature. He has to make this negative situation and turn it into a positive. I saw some things on the field today that led me to believe that's what he's trying to do. Now he has to carry that off the field as well. It can be a positive."
1) Jacksonville Jaguars
Yep, the Jaguars will have the best defense in football this season. Why? Well, they're oozing with talent at every level.
2) Minnesota Vikings
This defense is coached up incredibly well. No surprise: It's a Mike Zimmer defense. And the unit possesses three bona fide stars: DE Everson Griffen, CB Xavier Rhodes and S Harrison Smith. Rhodes and Smith earned first-team All-Pro honors last
season, and Griffen was en route to such an honor (with 10 sacks in the first eight games).
3) Arizona Cardinals
4) Los Angeles Chargers 5) Philadelphia Eagles 7) Los Angeles Rams
8) Atlanta Falcons
9) New England Patriots
Orlando Scandrick
Made $1M For Doing
Nothing With Redskins
Many NFL players have spoken out against the struc- ture of the league’s contracts and called for fully guaranteed salaries like they have in the NBA and MLB, but Orlando Scandrick doesn’t have much to complain about.
Scandrick, who signed a two-year deal with the Wash- ington Redskins back in March, is being released by the team. Since he got a $1M sign- ing bonus, he still gets to col- lect that money without ever playing a down in Washing- ton.
In other words, Scan- drick collected $1 million for

taking part in some offseason workouts and a portion of training camp. While he obvi- ously would prefer to be on the regular season roster with the Redskins, that’s pretty good work if you can get it.
Jarvis Landry Gets Into
Practice Fight With
Terrance Mitchell
Jarvis Landry and Ter- rance Mitchell are the latest teammates to have an alterca- tion during training camp.
During Cleveland Browns practice on Tuesday, Landry appeared to take exception to the way he was tackled by Mitchell. Upon reaching his feet, Landry threw the foot- ball at Mitchell’s helmet. Mitchell responded by taking a swing at Landry. The two then wrestled each other to the ground before teammates in- tervened.
Landry has had an event- ful training camp thus far. He

gave an epic speech during an episode of HBO’s “Hard Knocks.” Landry also threw some shade his former team over his new role with the Browns.
