MR. ARTEMUS LEON HOLLEY "TEM"
A homegoing celebration for Mr. Artemus Leon Holley “Tem”of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Saturday April 14, 2018 will be held Saturday, April 21st, 11:00 a.m. at New Greater Friendship M.B. Church, 3225 E. Emma Street Tampa, Florida, Rev. Ronnie Murray, pastor with Minister Delvin Lawson, eulogist.
The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Artemus was born January 2, 1966 in Tampa, Florida to Herbert H. and Ira Mae Holley. He attended the local schools of Hillsborough County.
He was employed by Bank of America. He enjoyed the game of basketball. He was preceded in death by his par- ents; Herbert H. and Ira Mae Holley; brothers, Barry Hill and Herbert B. Holley.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his brothers, Ronald Holley (Donna) and Lantz Holley (Elisa); sister, Yvonne Holley Newson; sister-in-law, Rose- mary Holley; aunts, Bessie Baxter (Herman); uncle, Roy Lee Holley; nieces, Jasmine Newson, Jalyssa Jackson and Ja’Maria Newson; nephews, Marquis Holley, Brandon Hol- ley, Corey Harris, Cornelius Harris and Rodrick Shephard; special cousins, Dana Mackey, Billy Christmas and Nazaline Smith; god-sisters, Pamela Hayes; god-daughters, Keareya Wynn and Kenyetta Mallory; god-son, Keenan Mal- lory; god-mother, Melinda Hayes; special friends, Min. Delvin Lawson and Mark Mitchell; a host of other cousins, relatives, co-workers and friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, April 20th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will re- ceive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.

A Homegoing Celebration in loving memory of Mr. Lonnie Banks will be held at 11 a. m., Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Gudes Funeral Home, 4050 E. Hillsborough Ave., Tampa, FL 33610.
Viewing will be at Gudes Fu- neral Home on Friday, April 20th, 5-7 p. m.
Interment will take place at Florida National Cemetery.

MS. MALYNA FREDERICK
A Memorial Celebration for Malyna Frederick , 60, who went home to be with the Lord, April 8, 2018, will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at 3 p. m., at Allen Temple AME Church, 2101 North Lowe St., Tampa, FL 33605, Pas- tor Glenn B. Dames, officiating.
Malyna was born July 5, 1957, to Thomas Joseph Meade and Is- abelle Winfred Theodore Meade, in the beautiful Islands of St. Kitts and Nevis in the West In- dies.
At the age of 4 years old, she moved to London, England, where she completed her educa- tion and received her degree from Polytechnic of North Lon- don in Accounting.
She lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, spending time with her loved ones and attending her church. She was a loving daugh- ter, nurturing sister, dedicated wife, devoted mother, caring grandmother, proud great grand- mother and sincere and loyal friend to many.
Malyna was preceded in death by: her father, Thomas Joseph Meade, and brother, Eas- ton Meade.
Malyna leaves her cherished memories to: her son, Jermaine (Anita) Benoit, Kym Jarvis, and Emericka Telemaque; her mother, Isabelle Meade; her sib- lings, Leroy Tuitt, Alicia Brum- ble, Dolphus Perkins, Victor Meade, Terry Meade and Raphael Meade; grandchildren, Solieta Gamboa, Jeronte Norton, Elijah Harrison, Princess Benoit and Ja Myah Bulmer; great grandchil- dren, Saniya Gamboa, Wyteria Davis, Pharoah Williams, Jeronte Norton, Jr., and Jahmir Norton; aunt, Alice Brumble, cousins, Cona Frederick, Deslyn Freder- ick, and Roxanne (Bradley) Fred- erick-Ferrance; extended family, Tavares (Natika) Richardson, Cornell (Teriyonal) Green, Kathy Lawrence, Kay Powell, Johneather Winkfield, Angela Anderson, Gabriel Toro, Yvette Harris, Cleshauna (Michael) Hicks, Wanda Stubbs, Sean Bell, Sylvia Lund, Vena (Lenford) Joseph, Nina (Stanley) Bell; and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A special thanks to her work family at Surgery Partners and the various staff at Florida Hospi- tal Tampa, for your compassion, support and prayers.
Family and friends are asked to assemble at 2:45 p. m., on Sat- urday at the church displaying a touch of purple to represent Ma- lyna’s battle with Pancreatic Can- cer.
A Celebration of Life will im- mediately follow at 1475 Tampa Park Plaza, Tampa, FL, 33605.

MRS. ALICE SUMES
A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Alice Marie Watson Sumes of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018, will be held on Saturday, April 21st, 2:00 p.m. at Holsey Temple CME Church, 3729 N. 15th Street, Presiding Elder Li- onel Walker, officiating.
The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Alice was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. John D. (Amanda) Watson. She entered into eter- nal rest at her home, she was 79. She was educated in Dade County public schools and Florida A&M University in Talla- hassee, FL where she became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She married her late husband, Elder Lawrence E. Sumes Sr. in 1960, served and fellowshipped throughout the C.M.E. Church Miami-Tampa District and reared four children in Tampa, FL. She retired in 1997 from the James A. Haley V.A. Hospital, Tampa, FL.
Mrs. Sumes shall be remem- bered by her children; Alicia M. Sumes, Cynthia Sumes, Min. Lawrence Sumes, Jr. and John Sumes; one brother, Oliver Wat- son and wife, Henrietta; two sis- ters, Rose Cleare and Geneva Viveros; 7 grandchildren, Eric McCount, Jr., Amanda Liv- ingston, Samuel Livingston II, Sarah Sumes, Naomi Sumes, Joshua Whippleand, Lelani Sumes; 10 nephews, Bernard Sumes, Sr., James Singleton, Jr., Lewis Singleton, Howard Singleton, Darryl Sumes, Earl Roach, Victor Neal, Elmer Wat- son, Jr., Tosky Sumes and Mar- cus Timothy; 10 nieces, Aurelia Miller, Florrie Jackson, Cecelia Singleton, Joyce Sumes, Vernay Johnson, Sharon Smith, Linda Roach, Deborah Lane, Sheena Watson and Annie Lou Watson. The visitation (closed casket) will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, April 20th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The fam- ily will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the serv- ice.
