Tampa Bay Coalition Of Clergy Hosts
‘7 Last Sayings’

Annual Evening Of Jazz Event This Weekend

Members of the Positive Image Committee are in the final stages of preparation for their upcoming “Jazz’n At The Italian Club” event. It will be held at a different loca- tion, the Italian Club, 1731 E. 7th Avenue, on Sunday, April 22, 2018, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Marvin Knight, Coordi- nator of the event said, “We are looking forward to a great event and it’s not too late to get your tickets. This is going to be a great event because so many people have dedicated their time and resources to make this possible.
“We are going to have DJ Rock-It-Rod handling the sound. We are going to have several bands on hand. And this is just a great opportunity for jazz lovers to hear live jazz,

mix and mingle with others.” The organizers said Tampa residents should prepare to have a fantastic evening that will not only offer entertain- ment, but will also benefit a
local school.
Some of the bands who
will be sharing their talents in- clude Andre Walker’s
MG&S Band, Paris All- Star Band, Hott Mess, and a special appearance by Alex Harris.
Ms. Lexi Lewis is the guest Mistress of Ceremonies. Knight further said, “We are having this event to offer the community something they can enjoy while at the same time, helping the stu- dents at St. Peter Claver Catholic School. The proceeds from this event will allow some underprivileged stu- dents to attend summer school that otherwise may not
be able to.
“In the end, we will leave
knowing that we have helped these kids and they are the fu- ture leaders of tomorrow,” Knight said.

A young Tampa Praise Team provided music.
