Harriett (2019) - The extraordinary tale of Harriet Tubman's (Cynthia Erivo) escape from slavery and transformation into one of America's greatest heroes, whose courage, ingenuity, and tenacity freed hundreds of slaves and changed the course of history. Director/actress Kasi Lemmons (Silence of the Lamb) put together an amazing story without going directly into the brutality of slavery. Meaning-

With the help of the old terminator (Arnold Schwarnegger) the group do their best to avoid being destroyed. Director Tim Miller does a great job making this film non stop action. Black And Blue - A rookie New Orleans police officer( Naomie Harris) is forced to balance her identity as a black woman after she witnesses two corrupt cops( Frank Grillo) committing murder. She has to seek help from a old friend (Tyrese Gibson) to make it through the night. Director Deon Taylor (The Intruder) did a great job making this crime drama suspenseful. Must-see for suspense. Made $16M (budget-N/A)- ****
Downtown Abbey - Set in the early 20s, the continuing story of the Crawley family, wealthy owners of a large estate in the English countryside ( Maggie Smith, Michelle Dockery, Allen Leech) and their maids/but- lers( Jim Carter, Joanna Froggatt) having to deal with the sudden visit of the Queen. The crew has to step aside and deal with the Queens staff. Surprisingly very good. Made $94M-U.S./ foreign-$84M- (budget- N/A)- ****
Zombieland: Double Tap - Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita, Little Rock and Nevada (Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin and Rosario Dawson) move to the American heartland as they face off against evolved zombies, fellow survivors, and the growing pains of being a makeshift family. Actually enjoyed this hilarious film. Made $61M-U.S./ foreign-$27M- ***1/2
Gemini Man - The world's greatest assassin(Will Smith) faces off against a younger clone of himself and assassins who are trying to kill him and his team. Don't know why the critics gave this film bad reviews. Director Ang Lee put together and fast moving action packed movie that is worth seeing. Made $47M U.S/ foreign- $115M- (budget- $138M)- ****
The Joker - In Gotham City, mentally-troubled comedian Arthur Fleck( Joaquin Phoenix) embarks on a downward-spiral of social revolution, delusional behavior and bloody crimes. Hustlers - Inspired by a true story, Hustlers follows a crew of savvy former strip club dancers ( Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, Cardi B,) who band together to turn the tables on their Wall Street clients. Director Lorene Scarfia gives you the ends and out of the struggles a strip dance goes through to make it. Enjoyed it! Made $104M-U.S/ foreign-$32M- (budget - $35M)- ****
