Cardinals Open As Underdogs Against Bucs Sunday At 1 P. M.
MRI Confirms Jacoby
Oddsmakers still do not believe in the Arizona Cardi- nals. Now entering Week 10, they open the week as under- dogs for the 10th consecutive week.
According to BetMGM, the Cardinals opened Week 10 as 5.5-underdogs against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They play Tampa on the road this weekend.
The Cardinals have been very successful against the spread this year. Despite being only 3-5-1 on the sea-
good bet.
Tampa, who is 2-6 on the
season, is also 2-6 against the spread. They are one of the highest-scoring teams in the league, averaging 28.8 points per game, which is fourth in the league. The Cardinals av- erage 21.7 points per game.
Both teams give up a lot of points. Arizona is 29th, al- lowing 27.9 points per con- test, while the Buccaneers are the second-worst team in points allowed, giving up 31.5 points per game.
Lamar Jackson Is The AFC Offensive Player Of The Week
LAMAR JACKSON
The Ravens became the first team to beat the Patriots this season and quarterback Lamar Jackson’s play last Sunday night was a big reason why Baltimore came out on top.
Jackson was 17-of-23 for 163 yards and a touchdown through the air in the 37-20 victory. He also ran 16 times for 61 yards and two touch- downs in his first career start against New England.
The NFL announced on Wednesday that Jackson has been named the AFC offensive player of the week in recogni- tion of that effort. It is the sec- ond time that Jackson has been so honored this season as he was also recognized after throwing five touchdowns in the season opener.
Jackson’s play this season has helped the Ravens to a 6-2 start and put his name in the MVP conversation. He’ll try to keep it going against the win- less Bengals this weekend.

Jacoby Brissett was forced to leave the Indianapo- lis Colts’ game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a knee injury, but fortunately all of the news surrounding it has been positive.
Colts head coach Frank Reich said after his team’s tough loss that Brissett likely suffered a knee sprain, and ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that an MRI on Mon- day confirmed that. The injury is considered minor, and

Cowboys, Stands For
The Tampa Bay Bucca- neers started Peyton Barber at running back in their first seven games of the season, but made a change in Sunday’s game against the Seahawks.
Ronald Jones was in the game for the first snaps for the first time this season and head coach Bruce Arians said on Monday that Jones will re- main in that role going for- ward.
“I think he handled it really well,” Arians said. “He’s been consistent [and] he’s been more explosive. It’s not that Peyton did anything wrong. I think RoJo has earned the right to play a little bit more and start the ballgame.”
Jones was a second- round pick in 2018, but played

sparingly in eight appear- ances. Arians and others around the team talked him up a lot this offseason and Jones’s play has continued to impress the head coach.
Jones ran 18 times for 67 yards and a touchdown in the 40-34 loss to the Seahawks. He’s run 92 times for 381 yards and three touchdowns this season.
Jerry Jones’ stance on the national anthem seems to have been made clear in the past: if you play for Amer- ica’s Team, you stand for the country’s national anthem. That message has been heeded by Michael Ben- nett.
Bennett made his Dallas Cowboys debut on Monday night in the team’s win over the New York Giants. The de- fensive end stood for the an-

Likely Out For Season
DeSean Jackson has been battling an injury for several weeks that he at- tempted to play through on Sunday, and it sounds like that could be the last game the veteran wide receiver ap- pears in this season.
Jackson aggravated his strained abdomen and was forced to leave Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears, but head coach Doug Pederson called the move “precautionary” and said he expected Jackson to return after Philly’s Week 10 bye.
DESEAN JACKSON
However, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that Jackson will need surgery and is unlikely to play again this season.
