20th Annual Back To School Event Planned

On Sunday, August 11th, Children With A Vision, Inc., will host its An- nual Back To School Extravaganza. The event will take place at Ragan Park Community Center, 1200 E.
Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL 33605.
In honor of the 20th Anniversary, Ms. Tonya Lewis, founder of Chil- dren With A Vision, Inc., said, “This year will be awesome! This event at- tracts hundreds of children and their families from across the Bay Area for a day of old school fun activities, good food, custom caricatures, face paint-
ing, music, and a lot of dancing! “There will be plenty of games that will give the kids and adults a lot of
physical exercise.”
In addition to the other activities,
ten recent high school grads will re- ceive a $500 scholarship. Ms. Lewis said the recipients have already been chosen for this honor. She plans to give 1,500 book bags away at the event.
The supplies will be distrib- uted on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last. All children must be accompanied by an adult and a child must ac-

Ms. Lewis further said individu-

rounding neighborhoods. She also said that parents must bring their own blankets and chairs.
Elected officials have been invited to attend the event along with other special guest appearances. The MUCH Foundation will be on hand, along with live costume characters, kid zones, and photographers will offer free photographs.
There will also be Live Streaming, Radio Station Broadcasting Live, T- Mobile raffling off a phone, McDon- alds giving away free slurpee’s, raffles, free food for the entire duration of the event and more exciting entertain- ment.
Tampa Police Department will be present to ensure the safety of the community during this family-ori- ented event.
