Russell Wilson Reportedly Pushed For Seahawks To Sign Antonio Brown
ANTONIO BROWN AND JOSH GORDON
The Seattle Seahawks bol- stered their wide receiver corps this week when they claimed Josh Gordon off waivers, and Gordon appar- ently was not the only trou- bled former New England Patriot that they considered adding to the mix.
The Seahawks entertained the possibility of signing An- tonio Brown before they claimed Gordon. Russell Wilson was reportedly in favor of the move Brown and pushed for it.
Schefter was told by Brown’s agent Drew Rosenhaus that there are “a few teams that are very inter- ested in signing Antonio once this process is over.”
49ers LB Kwon Alexander Out For Season With Torn Pectoral
KWON ALEXANDER
The San Francisco 49ers have won all eight of the games they've played this sea- son, but they did suffer a sig- nificant loss in their latest victory.
Linebacker Kwon Alexander, the team's prized offseason free-agent addition, suffered a torn pectoral in Thursday night's win against the Arizona Cardinals, the team announced Friday.
Alexander will miss the rest of what is shaping up as a season full of potential for the Niners.

Massive Buyout From
Florida State After Firing
A Florida State’s decision to fire Willie Taggart so early in his tenure is a costly one.
Taggart was owed nearly $18M in his contract buyout, according to the Orlando Sen- tinel’s Matt Murschel.
If Taggart’s entire coach- ing staff is bought out at the end of the season, the entire cost to move on would be around $20M.
If coaches on staff are able to find new jobs, their future salaries will offset against their buyout amounts, so it is possible that Florida State will not pay out that full $20M amount. Regardless, between the cost to move on from Tag-

gart and what it will take to hire someone new, the Semi- noles made a very, very expen- sive decision.
Taggart was enjoying the team’s win over Syracuse last weekend because he knew how much his job was in dan- ger. It turns out that was the last win he got to celebrate.
Stephen Curry Still
Wants To Compete In
Warriors Disaster
Steph Curry’s father Dell Curry told The Unde- feated that the guard still has every intention of making himself available for the Olympics in Tokyo despite his injury.
“Absolutely. That was def- initely a goal coming into this year. He wants to play in the Olympics,” he said Friday. “This is a little setback, but hopefully it’s a goal he can strive for through his rehab.”
Curry will be re-evalu- ated in three months. That

will be around the start of February. He should be okay if he gets back toward the end of the NBA season, which ap- pears likely. After that, it’s going to be up to Team USA coach Gregg Popovich.
Gets Even Worse With
2020 Summer Olympics
Draymond Green Injury
The Golden State Warriors keep dropping like flies.
Their disastrous start to the season got even worse with the news that Dray- mond Green will miss mul- tiple games with a sprained left index finger. Green didn’t play in Saturday’s 93-87 loss to the Hornets, which dropped the Warriors to 1-5.
Former Nets All-Star D’Angelo Russell also missed Saturday’s game with an ankle sprain.
Those injuries come on the heels of Steph Curry break- ing his left hand. Curry will miss at least three months after undergoing surgery, an-

other blow to a Warriors team which looks nothing like the team that appeared in each of the last five NBA Finals.
Kevin Durant left to sign with Brooklyn and Klay Thompson is unlikely to play this season as he recovers from a torn ACL.
