The Tampa Bay Black Her- itage Festival announced the return of affectionately known “sons of the festival” honoring Eric Darius and BK Jack- son, who launched their music careers at the Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival. attributes his success to the opportunities he had in school and feels that music is a vital part of every child’s education.
As his way of paying it for- ward, Eric Darius launched “On a Mission in the Schools” in Tampa several years ago promoting the importance of music education and inspiring youth to express themselves through music and follow their dreams.
On Friday, January 17th, Eric Darius will host a free workshop where he will share his story and perform for and with local music students at the Dream Center, 2806 N. 15th St., Tampa, FL 33605, from 2pm-3:30pm.
