House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appointed two New York congressmen and five other lawmakers to serve as impeachment managers Wednesday, meaning they’ll be tasked with presenting the Democratic case for Presi- dent Trump’s removal from office at his forthcoming Sen- ate trial.

Schiff’s right-hand man will be House Judiciary Chair- man Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.),

with abuse of power and ob- struction of Congress over his attempts to squeeze Ukraine for politically-laced investiga- tions and then seeking to cover up his misdeeds.
The two chairmen will be joined by New York Rep. Ha- keem Jeffries, California Rep. Zoe Lofgren, Florida Rep. Val Demings, Colorado Rep. Jason Crow and Texas Rep. Sylvia Garcia.
Pelosi trotted out the man- agers at a Capitol Hill press conference ahead of an ex- pected vote to officially send the two impeachment articles to the Senate, paving the way for Trump’s trial to officially start early next week.

The first presidential li- brary to feature an athletic component comes as Nike donates $5 million to the Obama Foundation for the creation of a public space to promote physical activity at the planned Obama Presi- dential Center on the south side of Chicago.
“(Barack) Obama has said it wouldn’t be his pres- idential center if there was- n’t a place to play some hoops,” says Jorge Casimiro, Nike chief social
and community impact offi- cer and president of the Nike Foundation. “We wanted to make sure it had a building in the center fo- cused on recreation, play and athletics.”
The $5 million donation, then, does just that while providing opportunity and access to the “powerful transformative abilities of sport, something that the Nike Foundation and Obama Foundation really believe in,” Casimiro says.
