  First Black Business Bus Tour Of New Year Planned
  On Saturday, January 18th, the first Black Business Bus Tour will take place. The Tour will leave at 9:45 a.m., on January 18th, from the Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, 600 N. Ashley Dr.
Ms. Candy Lowe,
founder of the Black Business Tour, launched the organiza- tion in 2006 to shed light on African American owned and operated businesses. “We have been highlighting and patronizing Black businesses throughout the years with business expos, network events, workshops, youth en- trepreneur fairs, and “Salute Black Businesses” Awards
luncheons.”
She further said busi-
nesses have been able to sus- tain due to awareness and spending with the shops on the #Blackbusinessbustour. Last year, the organization toured more than 16 busi- nesses, including a stop at the Tampa International Airport.
“We are honored to part- ner with the Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival 20th An- niversary,” she said.
