AIKENS
MR. MOSES KENNETH DAVIS
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Moses Kenneth Davis of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018, will be held Saturday, September 29th, 2 p. m. at St. John Cathedral, 3401 E. 25th Avenue, Pastor Dwight Newkirk; Rev. Antonio Hawkins, officiating. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery.
Moses Kenneth Davis, affec- tionately known as “Kenny” or “KD,” was born October 25, 1958 in Tampa, Florida, to the late Daniel and Mattie Davis. He was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County.
Mr. Davis was a faithful, dedi- cated employee of Aikens Funeral Home. He was an active member at the Church of God Gospel Tab- ernacle, where he sang in the church choir. He loved to BBQ and was always willing to help anyone he could. His favorite quote was “Shut Ya Mouth!” Although we will miss you, we know that God has you.
He was preceded in death by: his parents and siblings, Jimmy Lee, Henry, Rita, Nathaniel, Char- lene and Victor Davis.
He leaves to cherish his won- derful memories with: his loving wife of 4 years, Theresa Rogers Davis; his precious children, Ebony Davis Bivens (Jeremiah) of Tampa, Tameka Gant Clark (Christopher) of Orlando, FL, Lak- enya Perrymond Wilkins (Kendrick), Javon Melton, Chrishena Perrymond, Kimberly Perrymond, all of Lakeland, FL, and Tameka Rodgers (Curtis, Sr.) of Tampa; grandchildren, Trinity Clark, Christopher Clark, Edgar Robinson, Jeffrey Bush, Ja’Yani Bivens, Kazaria Perrymond, Ken- briel Wilkins, Kendrick Wilkins, Jr., Lechadrick Reese, Janiyah Reese, Darriyel Bowman, Darry- onna Bowman, Trayven Clay, Kendall Honors, Seven Perry- mond, Michellae Williams, Dereck Mann, Curtis Rodgers, Jr., and Tamia Rogers; 4 sisters, Catherine Norton (Clarence), Sarah Hep- burn, Lucille Davis and Veronica Davis, all of Tampa; 3 brothers, Gerald Davis (Bridgett), Anthony Davis and Jeffrey Davis, all of Tampa; special nephew, Shawn Davis (Meka); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends; his col- leagues at Aikens Funeral Home; and many others who knew and loved him. The visitation will be on Fri- day, September 28th at Aikens Fu- neral Home Chapel from 12 to 2 p.m. and at his church, Church of God Gospel Tabernacle, 1035 N. Virginia Ave., Lakeland, Florida, from 5 to 7 p. m. The family will re- ceive friends from 5 to 6 p. m.
The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Sat- urday for the service.

Shawn was born on May 2, 1969 in Tampa, Florida to Clovis Dunbar and Patricia Corbett. He was a member of Refreshing Spirit Church of God in Christ. He had an infectious smile and loved his family.
Shawn was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Willie and Mary Alice Corbett; brother, Chivarsky Corbett; aunt, Edith Underwood and uncle, Major Bloom.
