Family Needs Help To Locate Missing Teenager
35-Year Federal Government Employee Retires

The family of a teenager is asking the community for as- sistance in locating her. She has been missing from her North Tampa apartment for ten days.
According to police, the parents of Jero-Mesha Berrien reported her missing on April 15th. Jero-Mesha is described as being 5’7” and weighing about 130 pounds. She has a dark complexion and was last seen wearing long auburn color, straight hair.
Ms. Shirley Morris, her stepmother, said the last time she and the teenager’s father saw her was on Saturday, April 13th, around 10 p.m. When her father, Jerome Berrien, dis- covered the back door un- locked, he checked her room and discovered she was gone.
The 17-year-old also carried clothing with her and has not been to school at Catapult Adult School since April 9th.
“She hasn’t contacted her mother, grandmother or any- one and it is driving her father

crazy. She hasn’t posted any- thing on her Facebook page since she left. We just want to know that she is alright. We want her to call us and let us know,” Ms. Morris said.

In 1971, when Carrie Walker graduated from King High School with honors, her sights were set on college. She went to Hillsborough Commu- nity College and studied courses in Psychology, Ac- counting and went through the Paralegal Program.
It was this stepping stone that landed her a position Au- gust 18, 1980, as a Judicial As- sistant and Courtroom Deputy Clerk of United States Magis- trate Judge Thomas G. Wil- son, United States District Court. On April 3, 2015, her colleagues recognized her ac- complishments as she steps into retirement after 35 years. Friends recognized her accom- plishments during a surprise worship service at her home church.
A dedicated employee of the Federal government, Mrs. Carrie Walker Williams, who is “merrily married to Deacon Alphonso Williams,” is held in high es- teem for her work in Kingdom activities. As a member of the College Hill Church of God in Christ (Supt. Charles Davis, pastor), Missionary Williams’ musical talents are widely used and sought out. She is a member of the Praise Team, musician for First Lady’s Choir, musician for the Male Chorus, musician for the Youth Choir at New Hope M. B. Church (Rev. T. W. Jenk- ins), and the musician for the Drama Ministry at Springhill M. B. Church (Rev. Eugene Garnett). Her musical talents are also used at Ray Williams Funeral Home where she is also a Lady Attendant.

Outside of her musical tal- ents, Missionary Williams is teacher of the Senior High Sunday School Class, Adminis- trative Secretary to the Greater Tampa District Superintend- ent, Church of God in Christ; instructor, Jurisdiction of Southwest Florida Biblical In- stitute, Church of God in Christ; and member of the Deacons’ Wives Circle at her church. She’s an annual partic- ipant in the Great American Teach-In at Edison Elemen- tary School. In 2008, she re- ceived an Associate Degree in Theology from Grace and Truth Christian University.
Mrs. Williams has re- ceived numerous awards – professional, religious and community awards. She enjoys parenting 1 adult son, Tommy and daughter-in-law, Chan- tal, is the grandmother to Zahraa and awaits the arrival of another baby due next month.
What does Mrs. Williams plan to do with re- tirement? “Travel extensively to minister God’s Word, to sing, play the piano and con- duct seminars and work- shops,” she said.
