RAY WILLIAMS
MS. JOANNE THOMAS
Ms. Joanne Thomas of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Wednes- day, January 26, 2022. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Sat- urday, February 12, 2022, 2 p. m. at Northside Missionary Baptist Church, 5706 N. 40th Street, Tampa, Florida 33610, with Minis- ter Erica Harrington, officiating. MASKS RECOMMENDED.
Joanne was born on November 30, 1950, to Bill and Juanita Spain Thomas in Tampa, Florida, and resided here for 71 years. She was educated in the Hillsborough County Public Schools System and graduated from Howard W. Blake High School. She retired as a Food Service Worker at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Joanne was a great mother, grandmother, friend, and confi- dant to all. She was a woman of God with a heart full of gold. She loved her family and friends dearly.
Joanne was preceded in death by: her loving parents, Bill and Juanita Thomas; grandparents, Horace, Sr. and Anna Spain; aunts, Maxine Shannon, Clara Spain and Juanita Spain; uncles, Calvin Spain, Robert Spain, and Horace Spain, Jr.; sister, Billie Thomas Watts; and granddaughter, Aniyah Whittington.
She leaves to cherish her mem- ory: devoted daughters, Jacqueline “Bootsie” Wimbush, and Demetra Shellman; devoted son, Horace “Pooh” Whittington, III; brother, Edward Thomas; aunt, Sharon Lancaster (Marvin); uncle, Billy Spain (Rita) of Auburn Hills, MI; grandchildren, Kentwan, Dvon- ntai, Raven, Briana, Jorice, and Demetrius; bonus granddaughter, Jonae; great grandchildren, Demetrius (Cash), Brooklyn, Travarus, Jr., Tra’onn, Trayvon, Trashawn, Kentwan, Jr., Dakari, Isaiah, and Demetrius, Jr.; nephews, Eugene, Robert, Edward, and Rashad; nieces, Whitney and Davina; cousins, Kenny (Rem- ishia), Keith, Derrick, Dwayne, Dwight, Dale, Tony, Alfonso, An- drew, Linda, Ann, Darrell (Lena), Ronnie, Ferman, April, Sangria, and Marvin, Jr.; devoted friends, Mildred and Charlene Bailey, Ruby Albury, Jeraldine, Carol, Minnie, Angie, Vivian, Clem (Lola), Horace, Sarah Whittington, Audrey, Larry Lump and many more; extended families - Bailey, Jackson, Fells, Billups, Francine, Cimone and Tony; and, a host of many other sorrowing relatives, and her West Tampa family. MRS. NATHA LEE WILLIAMS
Mrs. Natha Lee Williams, of Tampa, Florida passed away on Monday, January 27, 2022. Cele- bration of Life Services will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022, 2:00 p.m., at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, Florida, 33606, with local minister, officiating. MASKS RECOMMENDED.
Mrs. Williams was a native of Tampa and resided here for 93 years. She worked at the Tampa Yacht and Country Club in her early years. Mrs. Williams was well known, loved, and respected throughout the Tampa Bay area.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by: her first husband, Alfred Black, Sr.; second husband, Jessie Williams; children, Lorenzo Holmes, and Alfred Black, Jr., and, grandson, Tony Holmes.
She leaves to cherish her mem- ory: six grandchildren, Mark Holmes, Peter Holmes, Adrian Holmes, Reginald L. Black, Yolanda V. Black, and Steven Black; several great grandchil- dren, family members and friends.

MS. YVONNE F. WILSON
Ms. Yvonne F. Wilson, of Tampa, Florida, answered the Master’s call on Friday, January 28, 2022. Celebration of Life Serv- ices will be held on Thursday, Feb- ruary 10, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2511 E. Columbus Dr., Tampa, Florida 33605, with Rev. Larry Roundtree, officiating. MASKS RECOMMENDED. Inter- ment will be in Lake City, Florida.
Ms. Yvonne F. Wilson was born on January 17, 1950, in Lake City, Florida to Rufus and Alice Wil- son. Yvonne matriculated through the Columbia County Public Schools system and graduated from Richardson High School in 1968. She furthered her education at Florida Agricultural and Me- chanical University in Tallahassee, Florida where she received her un- dergraduate degree in Business Education. Upon completion, she attended and graduated from the University of Tampa with a mas- ter’s degree in Education.
At an early age, she gave her life to the Lord and was an avid and vibrant member at New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church for Gover 40 years. Throughout her years at the church, she served as a Primary Sunday School Teacher, Church Treasurer and member of the Saving Our Children, Culinary and Drill Team Ministries.
In her professional life, Yvonne was a dedicated Business Education Teacher at Tomlin Mid- dle School, Benito Middle School, Blake Adult School, and Middleton Adult School. After more than 35 years in her profession, she retired but remained an active member in
Phi Delta Kappa and Kappa Delta Pi Sororities, the Retired Teachers Association of Florida, and the Na- tional Education Association. One of her favorite things to do was spend time with her Red Hat Sis- ters.
Yvonne was preceded in death by: her parents, Rufus and Alice Wilson; sister, Elaine Dix; and nephew, Broderick Wilson.
Yvonne leaves to cherish her life’s memories: two loving broth- ers, Rufus D. Choice (Odessa) and Laron Gay, both of Jacksonville, Florida; one loving aunt, Betty Wallace of Candler, Florida; four nephews, Carlos Wilson (Shikata) and Cleveland Dix (Shantel), of Lake City, Florida; Keiron Gay and Jefry Choice both of Jacksonville, Florida; two loving nieces, Christien Dix of Orlando, Florida and Daphne Williams (Rodney) of Lake City, Florida; three great nephews, Marquise Harrell (Yokimah), Cleveland Dix, Jr., and Carlos Wilson, Jr., all of Lake City, Florida; three great nieces, Broneisha Wilson, Tyronica Har- ris, and Stantrell Harris, all of Or- lando, Florida; four very devoted cousins, Geneva Pate, Teresa Robinson, Sylvia Sheppard (Isiah), and Clarence Tucker, Jr., (Carolyn), all of Lake City, Florida; other cousins, Selena Tucker, Geraldine Robinson, Bobby Wilson, Patrick Pate, and Shalonda Pate, all of Lake City, Florida; and Joan Davis of At- lanta, Georgia; extended family, Yolanda Springs of Lake City, Florida; James family (Matthew, Eva, Denise) of Tampa, Florida; Bryant family (Lamar, Jr., Christina, Lamar, III) of Seffner, Florida; and Tshiamalenge family (Thomas, Sabrina, Jonathan, Chelsea, Eva) of Gibsonton, Florida; Red Hat Sisters, Bettye Grant, Dora Dixon, Lemeldon Norwood, and Caroline Jones; and, a host of other sorrowing family members, former col- leagues, and close friends.

Mrs. Karen Jeanine Washing- ton-Woodson of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022. Celebration of Life Serv- ices will be held on Saturday, Feb- ruary 12, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at Allen Temple AME Church, 2101 Lowe Street, Tampa, Florida, 33605, with Elder Frank O. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Woodson was a resident of Tampa for 62 years. She was ed- ucated in the Hillsborough County Public School System, and later held employment positions with Hillsborough County Public Schools including DEES Atten- dant, Custodian, and Lunch Aide. She also worked in the House- keeping Department at various hotels.
