Mom Accused Of Killing Daughter Ruled Incompetent
Multiple Times
A Tampa woman accused of drowning her daughter has been ruled incompetent to stand trial. She appeared in court last week.
Based on reports from doctors who examined Ms. Shakayla Denson, a Hills- borough County judge ruled her incompetent to stand trial. She will be sent to a hos- pital to undergo treatment. Once she has been ruled com- petent, Ms. Denson will stand trial for first-degree murder.
On August 2, 2018, Ms. Denson waded into the Hillsborough River with her 4-year-old daughter, Je’hyrah Daniels. She is accused of throwing her only child into the river. The child died before she could be res- cued.
On that afternoon, Tampa Police responded to the Hills-
The Pinellas County Sher- iff’s Office has arrested a man and charged him with biting two children. He was charged with two counts of aggravated child abuse.
The children’s mother was also taken into custody. She was charged with two counts of child neglect with great bodily harm.
The children’s mother, Ms. Andrea Fulton, 25, and 29-year-old boyfriend, Rashawn Davis, were both taken into custody on Decem- ber 13th.
According to police, the in- vestigation began when Ms. Fulton’s four children, (ages 1 through 6) were removed from the home because of do- mestic issues. Three of the children were placed in foster care and the other with a fam- ily member.
Police said Davis is the bi- ological father of the 1-year- old.
After the children were re- moved, detectives learned that two of them had multiple bite marks and long linear scars. Both of the children are boys.

During the investigation, detectives obtained dental im- pressions of both Ms. Fulton and Davis’s teeth.
A Forensic Odontologist examined the impressions and confirmed that the bite marks were intentional. th
On December 13 , detec- tives interviewed Davis and he allegedly admitted to biting the 2-year-old several times out of frustration. Ms. Ful- ton allegedly admitted to knowing about the bite marks and not seeking care for her children. The investigation is continuing.
Woman Pleads Guilty To Money Laundering In IRS Scams
A 54-year-old Tampa woman pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit money laundering. She faces a max- imum of 20 years in federal prison.
According to the plea agreement, from July to No- vember 2015, Ms. Brenda Dozier laundered money extorted from citizens using a scam. The conspirators would call citizens and im- personate IRS officers. The victims were throughout the United States and overseas.
The conspirators misled their victims into believing they owed back income taxes. As part of the conspir- acy, Ms. Dozier opened bank accounts to receive the fraud proceeds. The money was usually received via in- terstate wire transfers.
Once Ms. Dozier with- drew the money, she gave it to her co-conspirators. Ms. Dozier was paid for opening the accounts and conducting
the transfers, officials said. In October, Nishitku- mar Patel, Hemalkumar Shah, and Sharvil Patel were all charged in connec- tion with the case. They are facing conspiracy to commit wire fraud and extortion
charges. They are also facing individual counts of alleged wire fraud, extortion, money laundering, and aggravated identity theft for their roles in the scheme.
Their trials are set to begin in April 2019.
