AIKENS
MS. DEBRA ELAINE CASON
A Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Debra Elaine Cason of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, will be held on Saturday, October 19th, 2 p. m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Lance Stephens, officiat- ing. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Debra Elaine Cason was born in Tampa, Florida, on No- vember 20, 1951, to the late Frank and Altamease Cason.
She was preceded in death by: her parents and brother, James Cason. Debra graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1969 and went on to attend Florida A & M University. She graduated with a Bachelor’s De- gree in Sociology in June 1973. Debra was briefly employed with Tampa Housing as a hous- ing inspector and a certified substitute teacher in Hillsbor- ough County. In addition, she was employed as an insurance adjuster and manager in Broward County prior to be- coming ill.
Debra was an active volun- teer with LifeLink Foundation and inspired others to become organ donors. Debra became a kidney transplant recipient in March, 2016. Debra loved bak- ing and preparing healthy dishes. She also was a music lover of all genres.
Debra is survived by: her sons, Malik Mallory of Marietta, Georgia, and Abdul Edmond of Tampa, Florida; sisters, Valarie Salves (William) and Karon Davis of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; nieces, Pamela Vance (Idi) and Syree Dunton of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; nephews, Kelvin Barnes (Kiva) of Atlanta, Georgia, Devin Davis (Felicia) of Pompano, Florida, and Steven Perry of Dover, Delaware; a host of great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; close friends, R. Carol Clark, Minister A. Faye Wingo and Evelyn Colon, all of Tampa, Florida, Kimberly Dublin of Sunrise, Florida and Ann De- veaux of West Palm Beach, Florida.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Fri- day, October 18th from 5 to 7 p. m.
The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.

MRS. VALARIE A. SCHLOSSER
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Valarie A. Schlosser of Tampa, Florida, who passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2019, will be held Saturday, October 19th, 10 a. m. at LifePoint Church, 8702 Hunters Lake Dr., Pastor Bryan Brown; Elder Gre- gory Jackson, presiding, with Bishop Michael Lewis, eulogist. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery.
Valarie was born November 26, 1965, to the late James and Bernice L. Jackson in Ocala, Florida. She was previously married to John Curtis Schlosser in Pompano Beach, Florida and to that union her daughter was born. She enjoyed being a housewife for 10 years before moving back to Tampa and working for Ruby Tuesday. She also received her Associ- ate’s Degree as a paralegal and had great interest in legal stud- ies.
It was her passion to educate every woman about colorectal cancer. She joined the Colorec- tal Cancer Association and trav- eled around the world to make everyone aware of this type of cancer. She enjoyed reading, cooking healthy food, volleyball
and most of all being a mom to Peyton.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Louis and Zarah “Lee Andrew” Jack- son; sisters, Helen Mitchell and husband, Robert and Eleanor E. Beauford; nieces, Nekita Harris and Andrea Jackson and nephews, Larry Jackson, Jr. and baby Isiah.
She leaves to mourn her passing and precious memories with: her daughter, Peyton An- nice Schlosser; brothers, James Jackson (Christine), Larrie Jackson (Valarie), Leslie Jack- son (Sandra), Gregory Jackson (Harriette), Isaac Jackson (Gwen) and brother-in-law, James Beauford; sisters, Pauline Bacon (Isaiah), Carloyn Jackson, Roxie Harris, Cheryl Leonard (Robin) and sister-in- law, Peggy Jackson; nieces, Carla, Susan “Cookie”, Elma, Robin, Gloria, Teresca, Genel, Dana, Laticia, Jessica, Ashley, Mary, Cierra, Christina, Ondrea, Natasha, Courtney, Crystal, Leley, Caitlin, Joy and Glorida; nephews, Edward “Bruce,” Ter- rance, Joe, Laemern, Ketner, Tommie, Gregory, Jr., Rodney, Gregory “Tyler,” Amos, Christo- pher “Chris,” Gregory G., Isaac, Jr., James, III and Marcus; a host of great nieces and nephews, best friend of 50 years, Sharon Robinson; New Tampa Ruby Tuesday Staff; Col- orectal Cancer Alliance and the Affirmation Project Staff, Adri- ana Pabon; and a host of other family members and friends who will dearly miss her.

MR. BENJAMIN ‘BEN’ YORK
A Homegoing Celebration for Benjamin “Ben” York of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2019, will be held Saturday, October 19th, 2:30 p. m. at The Center for Man- ifestation, 3102 E. Lake Ave., Apostle Mark T. Jones, pastor, with Rev. Ala Faye Nelson-Vick- ers, Pastor of Holy Outreach for Christ Church, officiating. The in- terment will be held in Orange Hill Cemetery.
Ben was born April 20, 1964 in Clarendon, North Carolina to the late Prentice Kenneth York and Ethel Rene York. He enjoyed telling jokes, making people laugh, cooking, spending time with family and making money. He attended Holy Outreach for Christ.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, aunts, Bertha Longs Paygett, Elousie McCallum, Sue Austin and Lettie May Simmons; uncle, Hubert Washington, Rufus Bellamy and Donnie Ray Wash- ington, Walter and Rodrick Re- vear.

Willie was born on June 3, 1966 in Tampa, Florida to the late Bishop Benjamin Willie Nelson and Ala Faye Nelson-Vickers. He enjoyed MMA boxing, wrestling, antique cars, chess and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Bishop Benjamin Willie Nelson; sister, Bertha Nel- son and brother, Rodrick J. Nel- son.
He leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories with: his wife, Kujuana Nelson; children, Ykinnea Nelson, Willie A. Nelson and Christopher Walker; grand- children, Niaira Nelson, George Smith, Ma’Khi A. Nelson, Mi’Cah A. Nelson, Malik A. Nelson and Malachi A. Nelson; loving mother, Ala Faye Nelson-Vickers; broth- ers, Craig, Michael J. and Willie D.
