The most recent burglaries occurred in the 3200 block of South Omar Avenue and the 3500 block of West Sevilla Street.

ORLANDO — Florida au- thorities answered one of the major questions in the shoot- ing death of Christina Grim- mie, the 22-year-old singer who made her name on NBC’s “The Voice.”
The man who killed her was Kevin James Loibl, 27, of St. Petersburg, according to Orlando police.
But they didn’t give any background on Loibl or offer a possible motive.
Grimmie was signing au- tographs late Friday after a show at The Plaza Live Theater when a man ap- proached and opened fire, po- lice spokeswoman Wanda Miglio said.
She was rushed to a hospi- tal, where she died.
On Tuesday, June 7th, at 11:52 a. m., a Tarpon Springs Police Department officer, on patrol saw Kitran Hendrix, who was known to have sev- eral felony warrants. Hen- drix was also a suspect in a recent attempted murder in- vestigation, during which the victim was shot in the 300 block of Lime Street, East.
As Hendrix approached and entered a vehicle, several officers began to approach him, and he tried to flee in the vehicle. An officer, on foot, had given verbal commands to stop, as the officer ap- proached. The vehicle began driving towards the officer on foot, and another marked po- lice vehicle that had arrived on the scene.
Hendrix then crashed the vehicle into a chain link fence on the other side of the road- way, but continued to flee in the vehicle.
At that point a vehicle pur- suit was initiated that went through city streets, then north on Alternate 19 into Pasco County. The vehicle then returned to U. S. High- way 19, North and proceeded

The suspect vehicle was found by a Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputy in Palm Har- bor. The driver fled from the deputy after he attempted to stop it. Another pursuit began, and as the vehicle traveled west, Hendrix stopped on Tampa Road and was taken into custody.
Hendrix was charged with being a felon in posses- sion of a firearm, battery, ag- gravated assault with a motor vehicle on a law enforcement officer, driving while license suspended, aggravated flee- ing and leaving the scene of a crash with damage. The at- tempted murder investiga- tion is ongoing.
