His Faith
Lord You’ve said that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). I pray that You would fill my husband’s soul with Your Word so his faith grows big enough to believe that with You all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). Give him unfailing cer- tainty that what You’ve promised to do, You will do (Ro- mans 4:21). Make his faith a shield of protection. Put it into action to move the mountains in his life. Your Word says: The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17); I pray that he will live the kind of faith-filled life You’ve called us all to experience. May he know with complete certainty how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear You, which You have prepared for those who trust in You (Psalm 31:19).
Having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. ROMANS 5:1
His Future
Lord, I pray that You would give (husband’s name) a vision for his future. Help him to understand that Your plans for him are good and not evil – to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Fill him with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding that he may have a walk worthy of You, fully pleasing You, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of You (Colossians 1:9-10). May he live by the leading of the Holy Spirit and not walk in doubt and fear of what may happen. Help him to mature and grow in You daily, submitting to You all his dreams and de- sires, knowing that the things which are impossible with men are possible with God (Luke 18:27).
I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. JEREMIAH 29:11
Lord, I pray that (husband’s name) will always conduct himself in a way that invests in his future. Keep him from losing his sense of purpose and fill him with hope for his future as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast (Hebrews 6:19). Give him his heart’s desire (Psalm 21:2) and keep him fresh and flourishing and bearing fruit into old age (Psalm 92:13-14). And when it comes time for him to leave this earth and go to be with You, may he have such a strong vision for his eternal future that it makes his transition smooth, painless, and accompanied by peace and joy. Until that day, I pray he will find the vision for his future in You.
One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to in- quire in His temple. PSALM 27:4
Becoming A Praying Parent
Lord, I submit myself to You. I realize that parenting a child in the way You would have me to is beyond my human abilities. I know I need You to help me. I want to partner with You and partake of Your gifts of wisdom, discernment, revelation, and guidance. I also need Your strength and patience, along with a generous portion of Your love flowing through me. Teach me how to love the way You love. Where I need to be healed, delivered, changed, matured, or made whole, I invite You to do that in me. Help me to walk in righteousness and integrity be- fore You. Teach me Your ways, enable me to obey Your commandments and do only what is pleasing in Your sight.
The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him. PROVERBS 20:7
Lord, may the beauty of Your Spirit be so evident in me that I will be a godly role model for my child. Give me the communication, teaching, and nurturing skills that I must have. Grow me into being the kind of parent You want me to be and teach me how to pray and truly inter- cede for his (her) life. You said in Your Word, Whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive (Matthew 21:22). In Jesus’ name I ask that You will in- crease my faith to believe for all the things You have put on my heart to pray for concerning this child.
Whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. JOHN 14:13-14
