Two Men Sought For Using Stolen Credit Cards
Shooting Leaves One Victim Dead, Another Injured
Two people were injured by gunfire in the 9400 block of N. Brooks Street last Sunday evening.
   Detectives are attempting to identify two men linked to stolen credit cards. The theft of the cards took place on July 9th.
According to the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice, around 3:30 a.m., on the day of the theft, one of the suspects approached the victims within the Plantation Palms parking lot in Bran- don. The suspect pointed a gun at the victims and de- manded their wallets. After obtaining the property, then fled the scene.
Around 6 a.m., on the same morning, the victim’s credit cards were used at two local stores by two Black men.

The first suspect is de- scribed as a Black man with a thin build, between 5’9” and 5’11” tall, and had a tat- too on his upper left arm.
STOLEN CREDIT CARD SUSPECT #2
The second man is a Black man with a thin build.
The suspects were last seen driving a silver, four- door sedan.
Detectives are currently investigating a shooting inci- dent that left one person dead and another injured. The shooting took place in the 9400 block of N. Brooks Street.
According to the Tampa Police Department, a shoot- ing in the 9400 block of N. Brooks Street was reported to police shortly after 4:30 p.m., Sunday. When officers arrived at the scene, they were unable to locate a vic- tim or suspect. The officers were told that the victim was placed in a gray colored vehi- cle and driven away from the scene.
However, they did find 18 shell casing in the road- way.
A short time later, dis- patchers received a call re- porting a traffic accident at the intersection of Lantana
Avenue. Respond- ing officers were not able to locate a driver or any passen-
gers at the scene.
A short time later, the
dispatcher informed the offi- cers that two victims had ar- rived at Advent Hospital with gunshot wounds. One of the victims was later transported to Tampa General Hospital for treatment. The second victim died as a result of the injuries received.
Police have not released any additional information about the victims or the sus- pects. The investigation is continuing.
   Solid Waste Worker Charged With Illegal Dumping

 The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Haines City man. He is facing two counts of felony commercial dumping.
According to police, the Environmental Unit of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested 57-year-old Peter Kallinicos. He is alleged to have used his employer’s work truck to haul garbage away for a Poinciana family who paid him $100. The family thought Kallinicos was going to dispose of the garbage properly.
Instead, Kallinicos is al- leged to have driven the garbage to the other side of Poinciana and dumped it in two undeveloped locations near Lake Marion Creek

Drive and Homosassa Road. Detectives became aware of the first dump site on July 18th. Some of the garbage
was on the roadway.
The second dumpsite was
located about 3 miles away. Detectives obtained a photo- graph of the truck used to
dump the material. It was determined that the truck belonged to Advanced Dis- posal, a company contracted by Polk County Waste and Recycling to deliver residen- tial garbage cans.
Police obtained a video of Kallinicos picking up the trash and dumping it at the locations.
When contacted by po- lice, the family told them Kallinicos had delivered their new garbage can and they asked about the dis- posal of the trash. He report- edly told them he would arrange to haul it away for $100.
Kallinicos was released from the Polk County Jail posting bond.
Man Found Dead In Vehicle
  The St. Petersburg Police Department is currently in- vestigating the death of a 37- year-old man. Officers responding to the report of an accident discovered the body.
According to police, at around 11:53 p.m., Monday, 9-1-1 operators received a call about an accident. The caller told the dispatcher that a white Mercedes had crashed in the 1500 block of 26th
Street, S.
When officers arrived at
the scene, they found An- thony Link dead inside the vehicle. Detectives believe Link had been shot.
