  Police Identify
Fatal Shooting
Man Charged In July 5th Shooting Death

Police arrested a 28-year- old man last Tuesday on an ac- tive warrant. He has been charged with first-degree mur- der.
According to Tampa Po- lice, officers responded to the intersection of E. 17th Street and N. 3rd Avenue, at 3:26 a.m. When officers arrived, they learned that a man had appar- ently been shot.
During the investigation, detectives learned that on July 5th, the victim was walking to his vehicle when the suspect, later identified as Marquis Lezate Walter, shot him several times and fled the scene.
The unidentified victim was transported to a local hos- pital, where he died as a result of his injuries.
Detectives also learned that the victim and Walter were involved in an altercation earlier in the night. Several surveillance cameras in the area were reviewed and helped police identify Walter as the suspect who shot the unidentified victim.
Walter was arrested by the U. S. Marshal’s Task Force in the 14500 block of Prism Circle, on the active warrant.
He was transported to the Hillsborough County Jail and his bond was set at $200,000 bond. He is also court ordered to wear a GPS monitor if re- leased.
Man Faces DUI Manslaughter After Passenger Dies
   Suspect In
  Detectives have identified a suspect in a fatal shooting. The shooting took place ear- lier this month.
Using investigative means, detectives have iden- tified 25-year-old Katrell Hubbard as a suspect in the murder of a man that took place at the Willow Brooke Apartments on Hellenic Drive during the evening of July 9. Hubbard is wanted on one count of second-de- gree murder with a firearm.
Hubbard is described to have a thin build, is 6 feet 3 inches tall, and has short dreadlocks.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, detectives launched a homi- cide investigation at the Wil- low Brooke Apartments, in Tampa.
On Friday, July 9th, just before 10:00 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 14000 block of Hellenic Drive, lo- cated in the Willow Brooke Apartment Complex, in ref- erence to reports of shots being fired. When deputies

According to police, at ap- proximately 2:30 a.m. on July 16, 2021, a blue Hyundai Santa Fe, driven by Taylor Silva, was traveling eastbound on Bearss Avenue East approach- ing a red light at the intersec- tion at Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. Silva drove onto the median, through the red light, across the intersection, and struck a tree on the pas- senger’s side of the vehicle.
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue extricated the passen- ger who was transported to a nearby hospital, and was pro- nounced dead shortly after.

arrived at the scene, they lo- cated the body of an uniden- tified adult man, inside one of the apartments. The unidentified man suffered upper body trauma.
Based on preliminary in- vestigative details, detectives believe there may be three suspects involved. Detectives have not released any addi- tional information about the victim.

Deputies arrested Silva, who is facing vehicular homi- cide and DUI Manslaughter charges.
Man Charged With Attempted Murder
 Pinellas County detectives have arrested 29-year-old Zachary Pierson for at- tempted murder and felony criminal mischief after he at- tacked a man. On July 6, 2021, at approximately 7:25 p.m., deputies responded to the BP Gas Station, 8289 Park Boule- vard, in Seminole, for a report of a man being attacked in the parking lot of the business. When deputies arrived at the location, they learned the vic- tim and suspect had left the location.
Detectives learned the vic- tim, 50-year-old James Lambert was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries to include multiple skull frac- tures, a brain bleed, a shat- tered jaw and a bruised lung.
Through their investiga- tion, detectives learned Lam- bert was at the BP Gas Station attempting to pump gas into his vehicle. While Lambert was facing the gas pump, Pierson approached him from behind and struck him with an object.
Lambert fell to the ground and Pierson struck him numerous times. Lam- bert was able to drive away from the location and contact

emergency medical serv- ices for his injuries.
Detectives said as Lam- bert fled the location, Pierson broke the tail light of Lam- bert’s vehi- cle and also
   damaged Lambert’s cell- phone, which had fallen to the ground during the attack. Through various investigative techniques, Pierson was pos- itively identified as the sus- pect. The suspect and victim are known to each other.
Police located Pierson on July 8, 2021. He was arrested, and transported to the Pinel- las County Jail. Pierson was charged with one count of at- tempted murder and felony criminal mischief.
