Fatal Shooting Of Tampa Man Ruled Justifiable
Local Sports
Attorney Andrew War- ren, Office of the State Attor- ney 13th Judicial Circuit, has ruled a shooting that took place on October 20th, as jus- tifiable.
Dominique Mulkey,
26, was fatally shot after he al- legedly pointed a gun at two Tampa Police officers. The of- ficers were approaching him in reference to an armed rob- bery at the Dollar General Store minutes before the shooting.
Police said that on the morning of the shooting, em- ployees of the Dollar General, 3110 N. 50th Street, called po- lice in reference to an armed robbery. The man was report- edly armed with a revolver and carrying a large black plastic bag.
When officers arrived, they located a man matching the description of the suspect. As they approached the man, later identified as Mulkey, he reportedly dropped the bag and pulled a gun from his waistband, police said.
Both officers fired their service revolvers after Mulkey refused to comply with their demands. He was

The weapon Mulkey was carrying was an Armscor .38 special six-shot revolver. It had been reported stolen in 2013 from Cape Coral, Florida.
State Attorney Warren
said, “While the event itself unfolded in merely seconds, our team conducted an exten- sive and exhaustive review of all available evidence and ap- plicable legal standards.”
He further said that an in- dependent investigation was also conducted by the Florida Department of Law Enforce- ment (FDLE).
