Marguerite Gaston-Swanks
was born March 29, 1961 in Alexandria, Virginia. She was the fourth daughter born to the parentage of Robert D. Gaston, Sr. and Bettie L. Gaston. She at- tended schools in Arlington, Vir- ginia and graduated from Washington Lee High School. She completed a Certificate Pro- gram at Computer Learning Cen- ter in Virginia. She was employed with Xerox Corporation for 19 years starting in Virginia and later transferring to Florida.
Marguerite grew to know and love the Lord at an early age and was the daughter of a Deacon. She united with Beulah Baptist Church of Alexandria, Virginia where she was baptized under the pastorate of Rev. Columbus Wat- son. After relocating to Florida, she joined the fellowship of The First Baptist Church of Progress Village under the pastorate of Dr. Sam Maxwell. Because of her love for God’s word, she was active in Bible Study. She completed Evan- gelism training and sharing the message of the gospel of Christ became her life’s mission. She was active with the Youth Min- istry, Sunday School and the Sin- gles Ministry.

A home going memorial cele- bration for Sister Marguerite Gaston- Swanks who on Satur- day, August 20, 2016, Marguerite answered the call of her loving Savior and departed her earthly dwelling to rest from labor to re- ward in the arms of Jesus, will be held on Saturday September 3, 2016 at11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Progress Village, 8722 Progress Blvd, Tampa, Florida with Dr. Sam Maxwell – Senior Teaching Pastor, officiating.
Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents, Robert D. Gaston, Sr. and Bettie L. Gaston; siblings, twin sister, Marietta E. Gaston; twin brothers, Samuel and Emanuel Gaston, and nephew, Dwight Gaston.
Marguerite leaves to cherish fond memories with a loving and supportive daughter and care- giver, Latasha Swanks and fiancé James Peterson, Jr; granddaugh- ter, Faith Peterson; siblings, Sylvia G. (Marvin) Hamilton (Flemington, New Jersey), De- lores L. Gaston (Manassas, Vir- ginia), Robert D. Gaston, Jr. (Wilmington, Delaware), Dwayne E. MRS. LILLY BELLE WILLIAMS
Homegoing celebration for Mrs. Lilly Belle Williams, who qui- etly passed at home on August 27, 2016, will be held on Saturday, Sep- tember 3, 2016 at 11 a. m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th Street, Tampa, with Rev. Dr. Evan Burrows, officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sis- ter and four brothers.
Left behind to mourn precious memories of her are: her sons, Robert Charles Williams (Rob) and Arthur Chester Williams, Jr. (BeBe); many nieces and nephews, among whom are: Cassandra Hay- wood of Richmond, Virginia and Michael Tabor of Tampa and many dear friends and acquaintances.
Mrs. Williams was born on March 11, 1919 in Cairo, Georgia to the parentage of Sellie and Lila Johnson. The family moved to Tampa while she was a young child and she resided here until her pass- ing.
She attended the public schools in Tampa. Mrs. Williams later studied at Brewster Hospital School of Nursing in Jacksonville, Florida and received a Certificate of Gradu- ate Nurse on May 6, 1946. After passing the Registered Nurse Board, she cared for patients at Clare Frye Hospital and Tampa General Hospital from where she retired.
Lilly Belle married Arthur Chester Williams in 1947. This union was blessed with two sons, Robert Charles Williams (Rob) and Arthur Chester Williams, Jr. (BeBe).
There will be a viewing on Fri- day September 2, 2016 from 5 – 8 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa.
Friends are asked to assemble at the church at approximately 10:45 a. m. Saturday for the service.
