MRS. ALBERTA PYRON
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Alberta Pyron will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Cathedral, 3401 E. 25th Avenue Tampa, Florida, Pastor Dwight Newkirk, Officiating and Pastor Tony Parker, Eulogist. In- terment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida.
Mrs. Alberta Pyron was born on March 25, 1927, in Greenville, Florida, to the parentage of Israel Bellamy and Ethel Hills. She at- tended the local schools in Jeffer- son County.
During her teen years without any formal training, Alberta learned to do hair and to sew. Being the 2nd eldest child, Alberta had the responsibility of helping her mother with caring for her younger siblings, and she did so by cooking, doing their hair, and even making their clothes.
Alberta moved to Tampa in 1957 to live with her brother, Willie Lee Parker, Sr., and his wife, Vir- ginia, whom she considered her sister instead of her sister-in-law. While living in the Parker’s home, Alberta enjoyed caring for her nephews and nieces.
In 1960, Alberta met the love of her life, Jasper Pyron. They had an instant attraction and on April 4, 1960, they were united in holy mat- rimony. In January 1962, they pur- chased their brand new home in Progress Village and she remained in that same home until the Lord called her to her new home in
glory.
The Lord blessed this union
with 3 beautiful daughters, Sherron Harris-Riles, Jill Anderson, and Jacqueline Wright. Along with being a wife and mother, Alberta was a well-known seamstress in the Tampa Bay Area. She made numer- ous choir robes and ushers uni- forms for various churches. She also made drapes, children’s cloth- ing, and cheerleading uniforms for the original Blake Senior High School.
She not only sewed clothes for her girls, but for her nieces, nephews and even the neighbor- hood children.
Alberta was called from labor to reward on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Israel Bellamy and Ethel Hills-Howard; her husband, Jasper Pyron; her siblings, Robert (Bobby) Bellamy, Willie Parker, Sr., Dorothy Holloway, Lela Moore, Earl Howard, Alfonzo Howard, Emma Jean Howard, and Christine Staten.
She leaves to cherish precious memories with: her 3 loving and de- voted daughters, Sherron Harris Riles, Jill Anderson, and Jacqueline Wright and husband, Charles; her beloved grandsons, Michael Harris, Charles Wright, Jr., Devonte Moore, and Zachary Riles; her pre- cious great granddaughter, Mikayla Harris; 2 caring brothers, Frank Howard and Elmer Bellamy, Greenville, Florida; 2 devoted sis- ters, Elizabeth McQuay and hus- band, Nathaniel, and Ernestine Bellamy; special nephew/like a son, Willie Lee Parker, Jr.; a host of nephews, nieces who all had a spe- cial place in her heart; her dearest friends, Otis and Berthenia Lamb, Dallas, TX, Hattie Amikker of Tampa and next door neighbor, Mary Diggs and her loving St. John Church Family whom she loved dearly.
