Former Tampan Promoted
To Asst. Director Of College
Scouting With Houston Texans
Former Tampan, Mike Martin has been promoted to Assistant Director of Col- lege Scouting with the Hous- ton Texans. He was formerly National Scout. The Jesuit High School alum has been an employee of the Texans for 11 years. Prior to his move to Texas, he worked for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for 4 years.
Martin was recently rec- ognized for his involvement in signing undrafted college free agent Arian Foster (formerly with the Texans and Miami Dolphins, cur- rently retired) and A. J. Bouye (formerly with the Texans and currently with the Jacksonville Jaguars).
Martin started his career in the NFL as an intern with the Tennessee Titans in 2002. He was a four-year let- terman at Vanderbilt Univer- sity (1999-2002), playing defensive back and on special teams. He was also a finalist for the 2003 Male SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Martin graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt in

2002 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human and Organizational Develop- mental Studies. He also earned his Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership in 2003.
Martin is the son of Tampans, James and Mat- tie Martin. He currently re- sides in Houston, TX with his wife, Cari and children, Maddon and Malone.
