Month Of May Filled With Graduations
Area colleges opened the month with graduation cere- monies. The University of South Florida and Hillsborough Community College held graduations on May 5th, at the USF Sun Dome and Florida State Fairgrounds, respec- tively, while the University of Tampa held its graduation at the Fairgrounds on May 6th. UT Graduation
Jon McMillun and Tim Cross were among the 2017 graduates from the University of Tampa. McMillun earned his degree in Economics, while Cross receiv4ed a degree in Film and Media Arts. They are joined by Shi’Niqua Demmings, a 2016 graduate.
Also graduating from the University of Tampa were 2 members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.: Catherine Waters and Brianna Cantava, both of whom received degrees in Advertising and Public Relations.
USF Graduation
University of South Florida graduate Alicia Storr received a degree in Accounting.
HCC Graduation
Dr. Ken Atwater is the 7th Presi- dent of Hillsborough Community College.
