Beyonce’s ‘Formation Tour’ Has Grossed $123 Million So Far
Kevin Gates ‘Stand Your Ground’ Defense Thrown Out By Lakeland Judge
Houston rapper Kevin Gates was in a Lakeland court last week.
Kevin Gates is currently battling battery charges from his infamous 2015 incident where he kicked female fan Mi- randa Dixon during one of his performances and it appears his legal team will have to go back to the drawing board, seeing that their attempt of claiming Florida’s stand-your-ground rule has failed.
Gates, 30, was in a Lake- land, FL courtroom on Thurs- day, July 28, when County Judge Sharon Franklin not only rejected the motion to have the case dismissed, she let him know his actions during the concert were totally out of line.
Beenie Man Contracts Zika Virus; Misses OVO Fest
Beenie Man is being treated for the Zika virus.
In the title of his upcoming album, Beenie Man labels himself Unstoppable — but that was apparently before he met Canadian border officials.
The dancehall legend was de- nied a visa to enter into Canada for his OVO Fest concert in Toronto on Saturday (July 30) because of health issues.
In a post on Instagram, Bee- nie Man said he’d contracted both Zika and Dengue from a mosquito and that he was un- dergoing blood tests, injections and pills. Typical symptoms of the viruses include fever and headaches.
He apologized to his fans, but stayed positive despite the set- back.
Toya Wright’s Brothers Are Murdered In New Orleans
Toya Wright (aka Lil Wayne’s ex-wife) and her brothers, Rudy and Johnson during the time her reality show aired featuring her family.
The first leg of Beyoncé’s “The Formation World Tour” raked in an impressive $123 million, according to box office numbers submitted by concert promoter Live Nation this week.
Throughout the tour’s first leg, which saw the singer per- form in 23 sold-out arenas across the United States and Canada, a total of 972,719 peo- ple flocked to watch Queen Bey perform hits from her widely revered catalogue, in- cluding her most recent album LEMONADE.
At present, Beyoncé is trekking through Europe for the second leg of the three-part tour. The singer’s August 3 stop at Barcelona’s Estadi Olímpic Lluís Compans stadium serves as her final stop on the conti- nent.

As many fans and commen- tators expected, tickets for the tour have been in huge demand ever since it was first an- nounced back in February.
Beyoncé’s “The Formation World Tour” returns to North America for its third and final leg at the start of September.
Two of Toya Wright’s younger brothers were shot and killed in New Orleans early Sunday morning (Jul. 31), family members of Wright confirmed to local media outlets.
According to the Times- Picayne, Wright’s brothers — Josh and Rudy Johnson — were gunned down while sit- ting in a car in the city’s Sev- enth Ward area. Both men had ben shot multiple times and were pronounced dead at the scene. Not too long after, an- other man was shot to death on the other side of town in the Seabrook neighborhood New Orleans East.
Because this is a developing news story, police haven’t said whether the shootings were re- lated nor have they released any information about a possi-
ble motive or suspects in either fatal shooting.
Toya reportedly received the tragic news while she was in nearby Baton Rouge, Louisiana at an event. Fans of the reality star and ex-wife of Lil Wayne have been flood- ing social media with condo- lences.
Her brothers regularly ap- peared on her BET shows Tiny & Toya and Toya: A Family Affair. Wright currently stars alongside her estranged hus- band Memphitz on the WE TV series “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars.” Toya recently filed for divorce from Memphitz.
Bossip reported that Toya had recently come to peace with her brother Rudy after the two had been fighting pub- licly over family drama.
One Of Soulja Boy’s Rappers Gets Shot In Robbery Attempt At His B-Day Party
Soulja Boy may want to keep his locations to himself when he’s flashing obscene amounts of cash on social media. One of his artists, Killa J, was shot during an at- tempted robbery outside of Soula Boy’s birthday party.
It turns out that SB was ac- tually the intended robbery vic- tim.
Killa J got shot outside of a recording studio in Hollywood. Sources connected to Soulja say he now suspects it was all an inside job.
Soulja and his entourage al- legedly noticed a black Ford SUV with four men in it waiting outside as they showed up to the studio to celebrate his 26th birthday ... and thought noth- ing of it at first.
As they wrapped up the party ... Soulja’s crew checked secu- rity cameras and saw the vehi- cle was still there. Killa J stepped out first to see what the

deal was. Right...
That’s when four men rolled
up and demanded Killa J give up Soulja Boy’s Gucci bag, which is usually where he car- ries large amounts of cash. They allegedly asked for Soulja by name too. Probably not coincidental ... he’d been flashing his bday stacks on so- cial media during the party. Killa J refused to give up the good, and caught a bullet in the arm for it.
Bow Wow Causes Social Media Uproar, Again
Phife Dawg Gets N.Y. Street Named After Him
Let down,” Bow Wow tweeted. He went on to say that he believes that world leaders are controlled by super powers who aren’t visible to the public. Another Twitter user responded by saying that Bow Wow should care about the political process because his ancestors died for the right to vote.
Bow Wow responded by tweeting, “Man, I only believe what the eyes see. I’m mixed. I don’t know what my ancestors was [sic] doing. I only know what I see ... I seen [sic] ‘Selma.’ Was I related to any- one, no. I’m saying my Moss side of family is not Black. Heritage different.”
Bow Wow went on to say that his family is White, Native American and his cousins have blonde hair and look like Justin Bieber. But Bow Wow did end his rant by say- ing that he would not vote for Donald Trump.
Bow Wow soon became a trending a topic and was blasted on Twitter.
Malik Taylor aka Phife Dawg of a A Tribe Called Quest passed away unexpect- edly in March, and Hip-Hop is still mourning. However, smiles and nods of appreciation are on deck since a street (one guess which) in Queens, NY will be named after the 5 Foot Assas- sin.
Reports OkayPlayer:
“Just wanted to let every one
know that the New York mayor’s office just called me and said the mayor is signing the bill to co-name Linden Blvd @192 to Malik “Phife Dawg” Taylor way on 8/3 at 10am at City Hall, Lower Manhattan,” Phife’s management con- firmed to Okayplayer via text message.
The intersection of Linden Blvd. and 192nd St. is in Queens, New York – the self- proclaimed Five Foot Assassin’s stomping grounds. It was there that he and childhood friend Q- Tip formed A Tribe Called

Quest; they would later add Jarobi White and Ali Sha- heed Muhammad, and be- come one of the most revered and influential hip-hop groups of all time.
With seminal albums like The Low End Theory and Midnight Marauders, A Tribe Called Quest pioneered alternative hip-hop and paved the way for other acts in the years to come.
SHAD ‘BOW WOW’ MOSS Bow Wow has created an
uproar because of comments that were posted on social media, again.
The rapper-actor, who now often goes by Shad Moss, was asked if he would vote for Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump by a person on Twit- ter. Bow Wow decided to share his views on why he doesn’t partake in politics.
“I don’t really care because after I learned what I learned about politics. I just stay away.
