RAY WILLIAMS
MR. BISBY LEON HOWARD
Mr. Bisby Leon Howard of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away Tuesday, Septem- ber 18, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Sep- tember28at11a.m.atRay Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, with Rev- erend Karen Jackson-Sims, of- ficiating. Interment will follow in the Florida National Ceme- tery, Bushnell, Florida.
Mr. Bisby Leon Howard was a native of Thomasville, Georgia and a resident of Albu- querque, New Mexico. He grew up in the Port Tampa area and attended the public schools of Hillsborough County, Tampa, FL, where he graduated with honors from Middleton Senior High School, Class of 1956.
After graduation, he en- listed into the United States Air Force and retired as a Master Staff Sergeant in 1974. He was stationed in Turkey, Europe, Wyoming and New Mexico.
After retiring he worked as a Machinist for the Santa Fe Railroad and Civil Engineers at Kirtland Air Force Base. Mr. Howard loved his family, music and baseball. He played for the Minor Leagues and various Air Force Teams, to include Man- zand Air Force Base, Kirtland Air Force Base and Oversees Bases.
He was preceded in death by: his, parents, Arthur and Precious Howard; son, Byron Scott; brothers, Lewis, Percy, Arthur, Jr. and Roy; and sis- ters, Inez and Lillie Ruth.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and de- voted wife, Marzil; grand- daughter, Dominque Scott; aunt, Annie Johnson; nieces, Elouise Livingston, Florrie Jones, Brenda Howard- Kitchen, Lillian Gaines, Debbie Henigan, and Mary Bunche; nephews, Clarence Gregory, Timothy Howard, Leroy Howard and Bernard Thomp- son; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends throughout the United States; and Bisby was a father figure to Joyce Ollyway’s five children and grandchildren.
The remains will reposes from 5 to 7 p. m. Thursday, Sep- tember 27 at Ray Williams Fu- neral Home.

Juanita Dixon, 72, of Tampa was born May 29, 1946 in Sparta, Georgia. She was called home on September 11, 2018.
Ms. Dixon was preceded in death by: her parents, Willie Dixon and Doris Y. Dixon.
She was a member of COGIC and retired from Hav- A-Tampa Cigar Factory.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter, Dorothy Dixon; a son, Michael Dixon (Nubia); a much loved sister, Bernice Dixon; grand- daughter, Socriva Dixon; 3 great-grands, Malik and Janay Dixon and Lil Juanita Perry; cousins include, Ms. Eleanor Dixon, Shirley D. Hodger (Calvin), Derrick, Bruce (Syd- ney) Dixon; friend, Ms. Josephine, and more friends and family.
Services will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018, 11 a. m., at Calvary Apostolic Faith Church, 1204 124th Ave. E., Tampa, FL 33612.
A 73-year-old man was killed early Sunday by a hit and run driver. The accident took place on Kings Avenue, S0uth near Calm Drive.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, John Dilgard was riding his yellow Duna mountain bicy- cle southbound on Kings Av- enue when he was struck from behind.
Police received several 9- 1-1 calls to report the acci-
dent. The Hillsborough County Fire Department re- sponded to the scene and pronounced Dilgard dead at the scene.
Detectives investigating the accident said alcohol is suspected to have con- tributed to this crash. A potential suspect and vehi- cle have been located, and charges are pending.
The investigation is con- tinuing.
Teenager Arrested For Stabbing Girl At Bus Stop
A St. Petersburg 15-year-old high school student was ar- rested Thursday for stabbing another student. The incident took place at the bus stop near
Paris Avenue and 6th Street, S0uth.
According to police, there has been an ongoing disagree- ment between Diamond Troutman and 16-year-old Aliayah Barnes.
As the group of about 30 students waited for the bus to Gibbs High School, the two girls began fighting. At some point during the fight, Trout- man is alleged to have stabbed Barnes. Troutman then ran onto the bus, police said.
When police arrived, Barnes was transported to Bayfront Health with a serious injury. She was reportedly in stable condition.
Troutman was arrested at the scene. She was charged with aggravated battery and possession of a weapon on school property. She was also charged with a third felony, ag- gravated assault, after she al- legedly threatened the mother of the victim with a pair of scis- sors. The investigation is con- tinuing.
