   Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Hosts ‘Black Lives Matter’ Essay Contest At Just Elementary
 From Oct. 1st to Oct. 22nd, the Pi Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., held a “Black Lives Matter” Essay Contest at Just Elemen- tary School. Ernest E. Just is one of the founders of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and the school bears his name, due to community work and schol- arly attainment within the field of science. On November 16th, 2020 during Pi Iota’s “Achievement Week,” the chapter presented checks to the essay contest winners. There were 12 participants and three winners: 2nd Grade ($200), Keldric McClen- don, 3rd Grade ($300), Yareli Cortez, 4th /5th Grade ($400), Jayda Royal.

Don Brown. There were a number of other members of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. in attendance as well: Bro. Andrew Brown, Bro. Fred Hearns, Bro. William Monday, Bro. Stanley Gray, Bro. Darwin Floyd, Bro. Ayo A. Ale’-Finks, Bro. Calvin Davis and Bro. Nicholas Cooper.
Congratulatations to all the students who participated in the essay contest as they worked from home, in between assignments and during the mornings to complete the es- says.

The checks and trophies were presented by the Basileus of the Pi Iota Chapter, Bro. Al Sheriff, Social Action Com-
mittee Chair and Just Gent Program Chair, Bro. Shaka Jasper, and Pi Iota Education Foundation Keeper of Finance, Bro. Keith Daniels.
This essay contest was sponsored by the Pi Iota Schol- arship Committee led by Bro.
