LaVar Ball Hits Back After Big Baller
Isaiah Thomas' Emotional 53-Point Game 2 Win On Sister's Birthday
ISAIAH THOMAS
No one, not even the most ardent Washington Wizards fan, would begrudge the per- formance Isaiah Thomas put together on Tuesday night.
On what would’ve been the 23rd birthday of Isaiah’s younger sister, who died in a tragic car accident last month, the Celtics point guard put up 53 points with four assists, propelling his team to a 129-119 OT Game 2 win.
“There was no way I could- n’t play on her birthday,” Thomas sid afterwards. “I wanted to win for her.”
His play outdueled Wiz- ards point guard John Wall, whose 40 points and 13 assists pushed Washing- ton.

Brand Setbacks: 'Haters Gonna Hate'
LaVar Ball’s attempts to score a lucrative licensing deal between Big Baller Brand and Nike, Adidas or Under Armour have not worked out heading into the NBA draft.
So, as of right now, Lonzo — a potential top-3 pick — is without a shoe deal from any of the three brands that con- trol 99 percent of the NBA shoe market. LaVar isn’t wor- ried though.
On Tuesday, LaVar snapped back to the criticism his brand has received with a tweet on his newly verified Twitter account: ‘Haters gonna hate, but BBB gonna be

great.’
This comes after Yahoo!
Sports’ The Vertical reported that Big Baller Brand was seeking a $200 sale price for Lonzo’s debut sneaker. That unprecedented asking price would put Lonzo’s shoes in the same price tier as LeBron James.
Adam Jones Responds To Being
Called N-Word By Red Sox Fans;
WNBA Star Skylar Diggins Gets Married
Gets Ovation The Next Night
After helping beat the Red Sox 5-2 at Fenway Park in Boston on Monday night (May 1), Orioles’ centerfielder Adam Jones wanted nothing more than to discuss the poli- tics outside of baseball.
“A disrespectful fan threw a bag of peanuts at me,” said Jones to USA Today. “I was called the N-word a handful of times tonight. Thanks. Pretty awesome.”
The kicker? This isn’t the first time the San Diego native is berated with racial slurs at the Boston stadium. It is, how- ever, one the worst examples since he started playing ball 12 years ago.
Jones went on to say, “It’s different. Very unfortunate. “I heard there was 59 or 60 ejec- tions tonight in the ballpark. It is what it is, right. I just go out

and play baseball. It’s unfortu- nate that people need to resort to those type of epithets to de- grade another human being. I’m trying to make a living for myself and my family. It’s un- fortunate.”
Less than 24 hours, Jones received a nice applause before his first at-bat against the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday night.
Jones is one of just 62 African-Americans on open- ing-day rosters.
Last June, Skylar Dig- gins drew the collective "aww" from the internet by posting an Instagram shot right after her boo, Daniel Smith, proposed to her.
Well, months later the WNBA baller and the self- proclaimed "Princess of Roc Nation Sports" has tied the knot.
Photos have surfaced of the blushing bride and her hubby sporting their newlywed glow following their wedding at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago last weekend.

Charles Oakley Still Not Over His Issues With James Dolan
Anthony Joshua Willing To Fight Anyone
Charles Oakley is still bothered by his past issues with New York Knicks owner James Dolan.
The former Knicks for- ward, who remains a fan fa- vorite in New York, was asked at a charity event Tuesday whether he has moved past his issues with Dolan.
Oakley has been charged with three counts of assault for his treatment of security guards at MSG on Feb. 8. Oakley was kicked out of the game for acting belliger- ently and believes Dolan targeted him.
The physical altercation between Oakley and the se- curity guards resulted in major headlines and created a further divide between Dolan and Knicks fans, with many taking Oakley’s side.
Oakley wanted Dolan to be reprimanded for the inci-
dent. He wanted the owner “to apologize to the press, to my family and the fans, and the league. He needs to apologize to the other own- ers, too. He should have been suspended or fined . . . I told the commissioner that’s what I wanted and I’m going to stick to that.”
Anthony Joshua is not afraid of anyone.
The heavyweight improved to 19-0 after an impressive win over reigning WBO heavy- weight champion Wladimir Klitschko on Saturday in London.
Joshua dropped Kl- itschko once in the 5th and then twice more in the 11th be- fore the fight was stopped. He also was knocked down in the 6th.
Joshua has continued his impressive KO streak as he has won all of his fights by KO. He is poised to take on some of the best heavyweights in the world and is willing to fight anyone.
Joshua said he was willing to do a rematch with Kl-

itschko or even fight Deon- tay Wilder.
“If Wladimir wants to fight, I will fight Wladimir once again,” Joshua said.
He was asked by Keller- man about Wilder.
“Wilder’s a great cham- pion and representing Amer- ica really well. If that fight happens next, so be it. We don’t duck anyone.”
