Xscape Biopic To Be Filmed By Love & Hip Hop Producer
The Game Sues Viacom And Says They Should Pay Contestant That Won Settlement
The Game says Viacom should cover the $7.1 million owed to his sexual assault ac- cuser, because it cast a violent criminal on his reality show, despite a doctor recommend- ing she get the boot.
The rapper's going after the parent company of VH1, which he says cast Priscilla Rainey on "She's Got Game." In docs, he says a doctor working on the pro- duction cited Rainey's long rap sheet -- which includes multiple felony arrests for ag- gravated battery.
According to the suit, the doctor said ... "In moments of jealousy, [Rainey's] normal composure dissolves, leaving her to acting out of control."
Game says the show thought Rainey would add a

spark -- aka ratings -- so it ig- nored the doctor.
Rainey ultimately was kicked off the show, and shortly after filed a suit against Game alleging he sexually assaulted her at an off-camera outing. She won a $7.1 million judgment and Game says Viacom should take that hit, plus another $13 mil in damages.

Kandi Burress, LaTocha Scott, Mona Scott-Young, Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris and Tameka Scott.
Fresh off getting a song- writing credit on Ed Sheeran’s smash hit, “Shape of You,” Kandi Bur- russ and Tameka “Tiny” Harris are celebrating an- other big move — and this time, fellow Xscape mem- bers LaTocha and Tamika Scott are joining them.
Deadline reports that with an assist from Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta producer Mona Scott-Young, Xs- cape is set to get the biopic treatment.
The announcement comes amid the group reuniting to celebrate the 25th anniver- sary of their first release, “Just Kickin’ It.”
There’s been no news as to which network will air the biopic, but it won’t be TV One — that network recently an- nounced it is making a film
about Xscape without the group’s authorization.
About the film with Scott- Young, Xscape said, “We are excited to join forces with Mona Scott-Young to bring the real Xscape story to the world.”
Scott-Young noted that Xscape is “one of the most successful female groups of all time,” with three platinum albums and six Billboard Top 10 hits to their name.”
In the meantime group members are super busy with rehearsing and new music and being featured on the small and big screen. You can watch Kandi on The Real Housewives of Atlanta; Tiny on T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle, and Tameka Scott in Tyler Perry’s Stranger In My House and Head Over Heels.
ALICIA KEYS
Alicia Keys has offered her talents as judge on the last two seasons of NBC ‘The Voice,”now she’s stepping down to focusing on new music.
Keys has announced that after this season, she’s not joining Miley Cyrus, Blake Shelton, and Adam Levine next season in order to focus on a new album.
She told Entertainment Tonight on Monday (May 1) that she’s halfway done with the album.

Netflix’s ‘Dear White People’ Series Gets Top Critic Ratings
Tristan Thompson and Khloe Kardshian are ‘taking a break’.
Cavaliers forward Tristan Thompson may or may not have broken up with reality star, Khloe Kardashian.
One report says Thompson wants to focus on the playoffs, with Cleveland starting the second-round series against Toronto.
Another report says Thomp- son is allegedly reuniting with the mother of his child. And another report says Khloe scared Thompson with talk of marriage.
But an insider said that Tristan’s main reason is he has secretly been cozying up to his baby mama, Jordan Craig.
The publication said “there’s a chance that there could be reconciliation be- tween Thompson and Craig. The basketball star and his ex-girlfriend welcomed a baby son on Dec. 12.
Kardashian, 32, has al-
legedly been spending at least $50,000 a week on Thomp- son, 26, showering him with gifts, birthday parties and public declarations of love, sources told Radar—who also said that he’s “getting cold feet” and has told her he wants to slow things down.
According to a Radar source, Thompson is barely getting used to the idea of being a dad “and here’s Khloe pushing him into a high-pro- file engagement.”
Friends and family members are begging Tristan to bail before the Kardashians take over his life, a source told Radar.
Nobody seems to know for sure what’s going on, but that doesn’t matter when it comes to Twitter. “News” of the “break up” had Cavaliers fans rejoicing as if the team just added Magic Johnson in his prime.
Logan Browning stars in ‘Dear White People’.
Devyne Stephens and Akon
Netflix’s TV adaptation of the “Dear White People” film pre- miered on April 28.
Based on Justin Simien’s 2014 film, the series stars ‘Hit The Floor’s Logan Browning as Samantha White, the biracial student at Winchester whose “Dear White People” radio show and “Ebony and Ivy” book put her in high de- mand for a spokesperson posi- tion at a number of Black student groups.
Brandon P. Bell will reprise his role as Troy Fair- banks, a political science stu- dent campaigning to become the first black student presi- dent of his mostly white school, Winchester University.
Lionsgate, the studio behind
Netflix’s “Orange Is the New Black,” is producing the series. Simien wrote all 10 episodes and direct the first episode (he also directed the film). Yvette Lee Bowser (“Black-ish,” “A Different World,” “Living Sin- gle”), Stephanie Allain (“Hustle & Flow,” “Dear White People”) and Julia Lebedev (“The Dinner,” “Dear White People”) also serve as executive producers.
34 out of 34 reviews say Dear White People is the show to watch.
But in good news for creator Justin Simien, Netflix and the show’s cast and crew, it also has the critics in rapture: the show now sports a 100 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Devyne Stephens is re- portedly suing his former business partner Akon over unpaid fees.
According to reports, Stephens wants $150 million from the singer/businessman.
Figures posted suggest Akon has made close to $400 million over the last decade.
Stephens is the founder of Upfront Megatainment, and he once worked at LaFace Records.
The Atlanta native is cre- dited with contributing to the careers of Usher, Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, T-Pain, and other artists.
