DEACON CLARENCE FLETCHER, JR.
Homegoing service for Dea- con Clarence Fletcher, Jr., who passed away on April 29, 2017 will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 2 p. m. at Northside Mis- sionary Baptist Church, 5706 N. 40th Street, Tampa, FL, Pastor Ricardo Robinson, with Pastor Zachary Robinson of Evening Star Tabernacle Missionary Bap- tist Church, officiating. Inter- ment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Deacon Fletcher was preceded in death by: his wife, Rosie Lee Fletcher; son, Edward Lee Fletcher; sisters, Mildred Jones, Jennie Guice, Gladys Neal, Laura Grayson and Helen Russ Mal- colm; brother, Malcolm Fletcher; and grand-son-in-law, Daniel Smith.
Deacon Fletcher leaves to mourn his passing with: his daughters, Betty Jean Fletcher, Gerrie Fletcher, Thomasine Fletcher, Gladys Fletcher, Glyn- nis Fletcher Sutton and husband, Roy; his sons, Donnie Fletcher, Clennon Fletcher, Paul Johnson, Bobby Moore, JC Gardener and wife, Gloria, Samuel “Floyd” Johnson and wife, Martha; grandchildren, including de- voted granddaughter, Carolyn Fletcher Kirkland and husband, Reggie, Edward Fletcher, Jr., Rosa Smith, Alicia Fletcher, Quita, Michelle, Greg, Makeshia, and Micheal Floyd, Shontel (Key- ona) Roberson, Donishia (Michelle) Thomas, Taquila Fletcher and Donnie Fletcher, Jr., Albert Perry and Skytina Fletcher, Tracy, Frank and Nicole Moore, Tammie, Theresa, Paul, Jr. and KaSandra Johnson, Sonya, Ben, Frankie, Yolanda and Rodney Gardener, Lonzo, Delria, Tory, Renae, Tony, Robert and Liza Moore; a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; devoted step- daughters, Keya and Quana James; devoted friend, Willie Davis and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Fletcher was born to the parentage of the late Clarence and Shelby Fletcher in DeFuniak Springs, FL, on November 13, 1925. He graduated from Walton High School in DeFuniak Springs and later moved to Tampa, in the late 1940s with his wife, Rosie and their family.
Deacon Fletcher was the owner of Fletcher’s Contracting Company for over 30 years. He was a very active member of Evening Star Tabernacle Mis- sionary Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as a devoted Deacon. He helped many people and touched many lives with his positive and gracious outlook on life.

day, May 5, 2017 from 5-8 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street.

MR. ANTHONY RUSSELL ‘TONY’ BROOKS
Homegoing service for Mr. Anthony “Tony” Russell Brooks who passed away on April 28, 2017 will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at 11 a. m. at St. Luke African Methodist Episcopal Church, 2709 N. 25th Street, Tampa, Florida, Pastor Kirk Bogen, of- ficiating, with Pastor Lloyd Black of Bible Missionary Bap- tist Church, eulogist. Inter- ment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Charles “Mutt” and Martha Brooks; brothers, Micheal “Mickey” and Felton Brooks; sister, Irene Brooks; and brother-in-law, Richard “Flutchie” Iverson.
Mr. Brooks leaves to cherish precious memories with: his wife, Lisa; one daughter, Nandi Toniesha; 4 stepchildren, Zinda, Jessie, Aleisha and Don- tae; 1 granddaughter, Denise; 17 step-grandchildren; sib- lings, Charles (Cynthia), Harold “Che”, G. Jean (Alphonso), Katherine “Kitty”, Donald, Linda, Mary, Debra Joseph, Gregory “Blue”, San- dra “Love”, Jacqueline “Jackie” (Charlton) and Gre- gory West; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; mother- in-law, Geneva Copeland; fa- ther-in-law, Richard Iverson and a host of friends and ex- tended family.
Tony was born to the parent- age of Charles and Martha Brooks on January 7, 1958 in Tampa, Florida. He was edu- cated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Brandon Senior High School, Class of 1977. Mr. Brooks was a trained boxer while in the United States Army and was honorably dis- charged. Mr. Brooks was a ded- icated employee with West Tampa Glass; he retired in 2016 after 16 years of service.

SISTER EUNICE VERNALLER JOHNSON MAYS
Homegoing Celebration for Sister Eunice Vernaller John- son-Mays, who passed away on April 29, 2017, will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 10 a. m. at St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, 3708 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida (33605) with the Pastor Rev. W. D. Sims, officiating. Interment will follow in Mansion Memo- rial Park Cemetery, Ellenton, Florida.
Sister Johnson-Mays leaves to cherish precious memories with: her loving daughters, Movia Miller of Tallahassee, FL, Kathy Mays and Shunya Webb (Raymond) of Bronx, New York; 7 grandchildren, Kikkha, Aric, Karte’, Dannyelle, MyKey, Rasheem, and Essick Brandon; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Dr. Simon O. Johnson (Verna) of Gainesville, FL; sis- ters, Emmeral A. Latimer of Rubonia, FL and Ruby L. John- son of Tampa, FL; a host of lov- ing nieces, nephews and cousins; 1 daughter-in-law, Mary Nell Mays of Jacksonville, FL; 2 sisters-in-law, Sallie Bratcher and Rosa Mae John- son of Palmetto, FL, along with other caring and sorrowing rel- atives and friends.
Eunice Vernaller Johnson- Mays, affectionately called “Dump,” was born on August 4, 1934. She was the 13th of 19 chil- dren born to the late Moody and Angeline Davis Johnson. She was converted at an early age and grew up praising and wor- shipping at St. Andrews A. M. E. Church and received her early education in Palmetto, FL. She attended the Miami Barber Col- lege where she received a li- cense in Tonsorial Arts.
Eunice moved to New York City in 1961 with her late hus- band, Samuel Mays and chil- dren and remained there until 1996.
During her time in New York, NY, she attended Herbert H. Lehman College, where she en- rolled in the PACE Program and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. At the age of 41, Eunice graduated with a Master’s in Education from An- tioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Eunice continued with her education and received her Public School Teacher Certifi- cate from the University of the State of New York, the State Ed- ucation Department on Septem- ber 1, 1976.
Eunice was a Day Care Center Director for 28 years at the Bronxdale Nursery and Kinder- garten Day Care Center.
Eunice was saved and a strong believer in God and Jesus Christ. While residing in New York Eunice was baptized at the Union Baptist Church on June 8, 1962.
Eunice and Samuel retired and relocated to Tampa, FL in 1996. They both continued their spiritual journey and joined Mt. Raymond Full Gospel Church in Palmetto, Florida.
After Samuel’s demise, Eu- nice became a member of the St. Matthew M. B. Church, where she received a Certificate of Achievement for the Comple- tion of the New Members Orien- tation on March 23, 2008. Eunice was also the (Pro Bono) Director of the St. Matthew Child Development Center from 1998 –2000.

BISHOP DURRIE REAVES
Homegoing Celebration of Life Service for Bishop Durrie Reaves who passed away May 1, 2017, will be held on Satur- day, May 6, 2017 at Greater New Hope Anointed Min- istries, Mud Lake Road, Plant City, FL with interment to fol- low in the Garden of Peace Cemetery, Plant City, FL.
Bishop Durrie Reaves was born June 8, 1927 to the late Deacon Clifford and Reverend Peggy Reaves of Plant City, Florida. He attended and grad- uated from the public schools of Hillsborough County, FL.
He was employed at Agrico Chemical Company from April 1951 to 1991, where he held various occupations and upon retiring as a Dragline Opera- tor. Bishop Reaves served his community as a certified bar- ber.
He founded and pastored The House of God Church of
the Living God, Pillar, and Ground of the Truth, located at 520 E. Laura Street, Plant City, where he served as pas- tor 43 years. He was ordained as Bishop under the late Bishop L. Williams of Fort Lauderdale, FL. He was very active in church of the Living God 5th Sunday Union for many years.
He was joined in holy mat- rimony to the late Rosa Lee Boatwright and out of this union were nine children: Durrie (Loretta) Reaves, Jr., of Memphis, TN; Darnell (Sandra) Reaves, of Dallas, TX; Jeffery (Eula) Reaves of Plant City, FL; Carl (Kathy) Reaves of Silver Springs, MD; Joel (Madeline) Reaves of Kennesaw, GA; Donald Fredrick Reaves of Plant City, FL; Janice Reaves of Newark, NJ; Angela Reaves (de- ceased); and Zachary Reaves, Tampa, FL.
Later in life he joined in holy matrimony to Nespree Gilbert of Morven, GA, out of this union were two children: Titus Reaves of Tampa, and Timothy Reaves of Plant City; Danelle Thomas of Miami, FL; plus seven step-children, An- thony Gilbert of Jacksonville, FL, Quentin Addison of Thomasville, GA, Lawanda Keely of Tampa, FL, Jerome Addison of Tuscaloosa, AL, Rudolph Addison of Tampa, FL, Dario Addison of Chipley, FL.
Preceding him in death are: sisters, Johnnie Mae Stewart, Carrie Hendricks; brothers, Hudson Reaves, Daniel (Laura) Reaves, Thomas (Marva) Reaves, and Walter (Ramell) Reaves.
He leaves behind to mourn: brothers, Bishop Ephraim (Naomi) Reaves of Plant City, Reverend Matthew (Caupho- nia) Reaves of Bristol, PA, Bishop Emanuel (Eldress Ollie) Reaves of Plant City, and James (Roberta) Reaves of Bealsville, FL; sister, Mother Margert (Joseph) Shaw of Plant City; and a host of grands, great-grands, and great-great-grands, nieces, nephews, relatives and Chris- tian friends.
