Local Popular Off-Air Radio Station Employee Dies

Our best friend on earth was laid to rest on March 27. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported us during the illness and homegoing of our loved one.

A popular off-air radio sta- tion employee lost his battle with cancer on April 30, 2017. Mr. Wayne Gregory Jenk- ins, Sr., was 61-years-old.
A Tampa native, Mr. Jenk- ins attended the local schools of Hillsborough County. He graduated from Robinson High School and continued his edu- cation at ITT.
His wife, Mrs. Regina Jenkins, said he entered the workforce and enjoyed his ca- reer in the electronics business. He was a longtime employee of Jones Cable Company and AM Radio Station WTMP, where he worked off air.

He was employed at Vintech Audio for several years and re-
tired due to his health. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2008. Mr. Jenkins was a mem- ber of Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church and continued worshipping until the illness prevented him from continu-
ing.
He enjoyed racing cars and
all things electronic. He also enjoyed photography and would video events such as weddings and other social events.
In addition to Mrs. Jenk- ins, Mr. Jenkins is survived by his children, stepchildren, grandchildren, other family members and friends. Har- mon’s Funeral Home is in charge of making arrange- ments.
Tampa Native Passes Following Lengthy Illness

A popular Tampa native passed following a lengthy ill- ness on April 30, 2017. Funeral services for Mrs. Kathy Bryant will take place on Sat- urday.
Mrs. Bryant attended the local schools of Hillsborough County. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1977. After graduation, she contin- ued her education at Florida A & M University, where she re- ceived her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.
Mrs. Bryant resided in Maryland for more than 20 years. She was employed with

the Washington, D. C. Depart- ment of Human Services & Strong Family Program Divi- sion as a Case Manager.
Her sister, Mrs. Brigitte Rogers said, “We moved her back to Tampa in October after
she became ill. She loved her family, watching movies and television.”
She was also a member of Beulah Institutional Baptist Church, where her funeral services will be held.
The daughter of Mrs. Hen- rietta Bryant Williams and the late William “Bill” Bryant, Mrs. Bryant was the mother of two, Danielle Bryant and Nigel Jones. She was also a grandmother to sev- eral grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings, cousins, other family members and friends.
Ray Williams Funeral Home is in charge of handling arrangements.
