Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Joann Perkins Miller will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 11 a. m. at Wilson Fu- neral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street Tampa, Florida, with Pastor Sabrina Smith of Victory Taber- nacle Metro United Pentecostal Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Ms. Joann Perkins Miller was preceded in death by: her mother, Blanchie Mae Williams; father, Will Perkins; sisters, Catherine Brooks Campbell, Irene Miller, Mary Ann Lee Messer; brothers, Willie J. Brooks, W. C. Brooks, Robert Perkins; ex-husband, Matt Miller; aunt, Annie Doris Miller; and uncles, Wymond Williams and Thomas Williams.
She leaves behind to cherish fond memories of her with: boyfriend, Kenneth Hamilton; 8 loving children, Debra Miller (Steve), Gloria Moore (Eddie), Trenise Miller (Antonio Wil- son), Courtney Miller (Andy Gay), Dareka Smokes (Leroy), Jackine Brooks (Edward), Deb- bie Brooks, Muraice Perkins and wife, Ursula, all of Tampa, Florida; 21 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Blanchie Williams (Tony) and Sarah Williams (Thomas); 3 brothers, Willie Joe Williams (Martha), L. C. Brooks (Sally) and Wallace Brooks (Carol), all of Tampa; goddaughter, Kiana Newman of Tampa, and other relatives and friends.
Ms. Joann Perkins Miller was born in Colquitt, GA on September 21, 1949 and de- parted this life on January 23, 2018. She was educated in the Hillsborough County Public Schools System. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards and spending time with her grand- children.

MS. GLORIA ESTELLE LOMAS PHILMORE
Memorial Service for Ms. Gloria Estelle Lomas Philmore, who went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2018 in Tucker, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018, 12 noon at the Beulah Baptist In- stitutional Church, 1006 W. Cy- press Street, Tampa, Florida with the pastor, Rev. Dr. W. James Favorite, officiating.
Gloria was preceded in death by: her parents, Henry and Ada Brown Lomas; and sis- ters, Murial Yvonne Lomas Doyle and Julia Winifred Lomas.
She is survived by: her de- voted daughter, Samarah P. Brinson; granddaughters, Dahrya Brinson and Shyra Brinson; special granddaugh- ter, Kourtnae Beasley; stepchil- dren, Mary Martin, Sammie Philmore, Jr., and Rudolph Philmore (Vivian); nieces, Ada Shakir-Mahmud (John) and Sharon Doyle; nephews, Father Henry L. Doyle and Oren Doyle, a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, step-grand- children, godchildren, and friends.
Gloria played many impor- tant roles in being the well dressed lady she was through her affiliation with many or- ganizations in the Tampa Bay Area. Her 40 year teaching ca- reer began in Manatee County for a few years and ended in Hillsborough Public Schools.
The Ivy Beyond The Wall (open to the public) will be con- ducted at Beulah Baptist at 10:30 a. m. Saturday (Sorors must be in uninterrupted white to participate). The family will receive guests at Beulah Baptist Institutional Church from 11 a. m.- 12 noon on Saturday Febru- ary 3, 2018.

A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Mae Bell Hogan Sampson of Tampa, who passed away Tues- day, January 23, 2018, will be held on Saturday, February 3, at 11a.m.atMt.OliveA.M.E. Church, 1902 LaSalle Street, Rev- erend Gregory V. Gay, Pastor, of- ficiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Mae Bell Sampson was a native of Tallahassee, FL and a resident of Tampa for many years. She was educated in the public schools of Leon County and was converted at an early age. She was a member of Bethel A. M. E. Church, until they moved, and later joined Mt. Olive A. M. E. Church. She was also a member of the International Ma- sons and Eastern Stars.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Nathaniel and Hat- tie Proctor Hogan; husband, Leroy Sampson, Sr.; daughter, Gloria Hicks; son, Leroy Samp- son, Jr. and wife, Mary; grand- daughter, Brenda Williams; grandson, Douglas R. Sampson; great-grandson, Joshua Williams; sisters, Elizabeth Jenk- ins and Rosa Bell Sims; brothers, Willie Hogan and Raleigh Hogan; 3 sisters-in-law; 7 brothers-in- law; and a host of other relatives and a special friend, Rosa Lee Baker.
Those left to cherish in her memories are: her devoted chil- dren, Essie Williams, Sacra- mento, CA, Ishmel Sampson, Sr. (Margaret), Fayetteville, NC, Douglas L. Sampson (Ruthie), Jacqueline Youngblood (Clemon), Patricia Dawson; grandchildren, Cynthia Williams, Claudette Simmons (Al), Roland A. The remain will repose after 5 p. m. Friday, February 2nd at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p. m.

Mrs. Gilbert leaves cherished memories of her with: a sister, Margaret Williams of Tampa, FL; loving and devoted nieces, Lynette Darrell of Thonotosassa, FL, and Evette Kelly of Temple Terrace, FL; a host of other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and friends. Special de- voted friends, Steve and Debbie Lehman, Maggie Brown and other friends from the Thonotosassa Congregation.
Mrs. Doris Gilbert was born July 20, 1922 in Americus, GA to the parentage of the late George and Laura (Richardson) Cobb, Sr. The sixth eldest of eleven chil- dren. She became a baptized Je- hovah’s Witness in the early 1950s.

On Tuesday, January 23, 2018, the Lord saw fit to call Mr. Spencer R. James Sr. (Mush) home to join his beloved: mother, Ethel Preston; brothers, Earl and Ernest James and mother-in-law, Grace Moore.
Mr. James was born to the late Aletholia and Ethel James on February 21, 1954 in Tampa, FL. He was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and later received an Associate’s degree in Computers from Hills- borough Community College.
He worked for Winn Dixie for many years and for his family a lifetime. Mr. James had a proud demeanor and the biggest heart! He loved his yard and was over protective and proud of his fam- ily.
He leaves to celebrate and carry on his legacy: a devoted, loving and selfless wife, Marie “Angie” James; loving and re- sponsive children, LaTronda James, Dr. Spencer R.
